We did it, boys!

Sorry, I missed the announcement. You mean they will be implementing the changes as per Biology's work? If so, will it be in the next update?

Thanks.

from Jörg's reaction during this Q&A interview I take it he was surprised and impressed by the thread that Biology started and the enormous support it gained in such a short time. that tells me he was the driving force behind the decision not to wait for the new enhanced color scheme in MS 2024, but to implement a quick interim fix also very soon for MS 2020. unlike the 2 Asobos, he seemed very enthusiastic about this. 🤣

Thanks to Biology and the community members here for making this possible, and of course MS/Asobo for listening!

Will it be implemented for SU13?

SU14, whatever they can implement/fix without needing a rewrite of the atmospheric engine (which they have re-written for MSFS 2024 and will be even better). These are the timestamps at which they talk about this topic:

Secondly here when they talk about v2020 fix coming in SU14: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1936609189?t=01h02m26s

Not in SU13 - they will "do their best fo improve the lighting parameters in FS2020", probably in SU14.

Checked GEForce Experience and it actually saves an SDR image from the HDR screenshot!  I'm off to work now but I'll take some screenshots later.

Will it work if you use the built-in Windows screen capture shortcut or do you need to capture the screenshot specifically using GeForce Experience?

Worked for me in the beta. The release version has the same version number as the last beta patch.

Is there a detailed guide how to do this? For the store version. Sorry if I missed it.

Did you ever solve your start error?

MSI Gaming X 1080Ti (2100 mhz OC Watercooled)

Anyone with a modified exe was able to update without problems?

Yes @captain420.  Very important information in case anyone else has the problem later (such as me ).

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

Yes, I solved my problem. I just renamed the original .exe and just pasted over the modified one.
