New version of Rex Accuseason

Recommended Posts

Oh well, no big rush, the time when the new terrain and tree  coloring features become useful is still a month or two away. But question to the Rex team if reading: I purchased my Accuseason through Simmarket. Will the free update eventually be available through there?

Do ORBX purchases have to do it another way?

I don't think the update is live yet.

An alert has been posted on their Discord channel suggesting the release may not be until Friday. It is quite annoying.  Many of us change plans and re-arrange times around our hobbies, so it is quite annoying to have this release date possibly put back to Friday.  Why say it is releasing, put up new web pages AND instructions how to update without an update available.  Why state the release will be on a particular day and then put out an alert it may not be for another three days?

Ok, the earth doesn't stop revolving if the release is delayed, but we all make plans based on what is important to us.  Personally I turned down some overtime because the firm release date was given.  Play golf, fly aircraft, go skydiving, love model making etc - then you will change plans if something is promised because you look forward to your hobbies.  If you turn up to the event to be told we forgot to tell you there was an additional step we are going through that means we have delayed until Friday.

I don’t know. I get the frustration on delays when you’re looking forward to something, but this community makes it hard for any dev to win. Everyone throws a fit when they hear “soon” or “it’ll release when it’s ready”. So they give a release date of when it’ll drop IF everything continues to go as plan, then something comes up that was unexpected so it gets pushed back, and then the community gets mad at that too.

Maybe just count on it not happening when they say, so if it does, it’s a nice surprise. If not, then no harm no foul. Besides, I wouldn’t think this product is big enough to miss out on work or  extra income for… (no offense REX!). But that’s just my opinion, to each their own!
