Adding to this how's the beta looking so far?  Are you seeing meaningful improvements?

This is all pretty much covered in the beta forums, which are accessible to anyone.

Performance is really good for me.  Silky smooth.
All of the world scenery packs have been updated, as I think they have been optimised, maybe leading to some of the performance increase.
So they will all need to be re-downloaded for people to see the benefit I think.  There will be quite a few gigglebits to download!
A lot of the default / 40th Anniversary aircraft are updated as well.

For me, no issues with anything, or any addons, so I am quite happy, especially with the performance.

So I hope it will be well received, but of course a lot of people will say not much has changed, and it hasn't attended to a lot of the historic issues, but we get what we get, and it is another improvement in the right direction as far as I am concerned.

It should be positively received I think, just on the smoothness / performance.  No doubt some will say they don't see anything, but a lot of us have.

I think this last update will be it for now - formal release next week if there are no show-stoppers.

Call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind, but I prefer Rob.

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio!
