They didn’t spend much time chasing them to begin with, otherwise half of them wouldn’t still exist.

You aren't completely wrong, but they are about to release the 13th update for the program, which doesn't take into account all the world updates and stuff.  It's a lot more than we ever got from Aces, which was mostly limited to one patch early on to fix major things.

Yes it was you’re correct, however that is sidestepping the issue.
It’s like if I have defective windscreen wipers and radio on my Porsche, and I report it for 3 years. In the meantime they give me 13 ECU upgrades for my car to make the whole thing drive much better, all whilst my windscreen wipers and radio are defective, and remain so as they are just forgotten about and swept under the carpet.

What a novel idea. Maybe the irony would be lost on Asobo.

Hopefully they'll show some stuff from the 2024 during Q&A. Pump us up a bit more.

Really!  From what I've seen so far, it's just missions and stuff.  Nothing for people who enjoy free flight.

Everything they talked about FS Expo this year, most of it had nothing to do with career mode or any of that.

Oh ok, it'll be interesting to see what else they've been able to do.

I haven't had a chance to look at all of these yet, but the interview with MSFSAddons says they are specifically trying to add content other than free flight.

The Houston FS Expo presentation by Jorg and Seb showcased the completely new default ground terrain coming in MSFS2024. The entire global scenery will be far more detailed and realistic than in our current sim (which is already spectacular). This added realism of the ground terrain will further enhance the free flight experience in my view.
