I think most of us are fully aware of this, chap but there's twitchy and then there's bonkers. An F-16 would look ridiculous pulling the manouvers this plane does with 1mm of yoke movement. As it currently stands a tiny yoke movement has this plane pitching like a flying saucer 😆 With the Honeycomb Yoke and default settings I consider it uncontrollable. It's not the only plane to have this problem but it is the most extreme example of it I have encountered. 5800X3D - Strix X570-E - 32GB 3600Mhz DDR4 - AMD RX 9070 XT- Samsung 980 Pro x2

The biggest problem of all sim controls is that you don't feel pressure like in real aircraft. There are two ways to handle it. The first way, is when developer tweak FM to simulate "heavy" feel of the controls (without adjusting your control sensitivities). The second way, is when you tweak your controls to your liking. The problem with the second way is that you would have to do it for each aircraft. Also keep in mind that in real aircraft control responsiveness changes with speed or airflow. Your control oscillations are biggest at slowest speed approach or landing. New pilot often tend to overcontrol and what we call "pilot induced oscillation" - when people fight their own missdoings ! I'm aware of all of that but it doesn't change the fact that 1mm movement of the yoke produces enough reaction to snap the aircraft into pieces. Even if I had a different yoke with 3 times the travel in the pitch axis it would mean that 3mm would be enough movement to pitch the nose so violently that I would expect the wings to fall off the thing. The pitch control of this plane is off. As for messing with sim settings, MSFS settings are funky. "Sensitivity" isn't sensitivity at all and is actually a "lineartiy" setting so in order to adjust sensitivity you are, in reality, making the controls completely unrealistic my making them behave in a non-linear fashion. You can prevent this by adding an extremity deadzone instead which means you keep linearity but sacrfice travel. However, in this plane one has to have a silly sensitivity curve and consequently an unrealistic pitch control anyway because you have literally warped the response but also have an aggressive extremity deadzone cutting out most of the travel entirely. And then a reactivity setting of 0 on top of that and only then do I get anything close to a reasonable control experience. That tells me that something is way off with this plane. 5800X3D - Strix X570-E - 32GB 3600Mhz DDR4 - AMD RX 9070 XT- Samsung 980 Pro x2
December 29, 20232 yr Well I did my control sensitivities when I installed MSFS, and haven't touched them sense. This plane, Flightsimware C414, and the Just Flight Piper Arrow III, have incredible feel and control... but have to admit the C414 and the Piper are the best on the ground, take off roll, and flight. I should add the A2A Piper to that list as well.. I just don't like the panel view in the A2A... Never feel "square" to the panel in that thing.

Fast is not always better. That is good news. instant buy when they make it. And it's not just speed, but useful load. My typical family haul is unavailable in the M500.. Heck it can barley fit me and a friend with enough juice/suite cases to go anywhere. Edited December 29, 20232 yr by HawkDsl
December 29, 20232 yr I don't this 'extremely silly' pitch response at all in the M500. It is on the sensitive side but nothing near to what's being suggested here. I suggest it's a local controller issue. Hitting 'reset' on all of the sensitivity settings (not the assignments, just the sensitivity) and setting them up again can resolve such issues. December 30, 20232 yr If the plane is super reactive to pitch inputs, take a look at your CG. Loading it with a CG closer to the forward limit of the envelope might help a lot.
