FSHud, FLSTL, PSXT,...Beyond ATC

Featured Replies

I have recently purchased the FSHud product.
Driven by the decline in Realtraffic data coverage for PSXT, I wanted to enjoy a new ATC for a bit. Also being able to go to airports with worse or no ground coverage and see how FSHud, in conjunction with FSLTL, injected and controlled planes.

I read what FSHud has in its advertising and decided to spend 34 euros, convinced above all by the fact that FSHud would control each plane individually, just as they claim.

In a way, I enjoyed seeing planes at airports where PSXT is now unfortunately unable to inject them due to lack of data.

I also enjoyed hearing a voice direct my plane, keeping that in mind.

Were there bad things? Well, that's why I write, because I want to leave my experience here:

- The planes do not separate conveniently on their final approach. Go arounds again.
- They are injected, (for example, by FSLTL), and from that moment on they make circular movements and take 30 minutes to land.
- The jetways do not work and do not connect to the planes.
- Planes do not do pushback either. They turn and leave.
- Sometimes, in the sky, they go in the opposite direction to what their destiny announces.

Otherwise, FSHud has good ideas.

I write this because I wrote to them somewhat angry in the first instance. They answered me that I complain for all, and that the majority of customers are happy.

I told them that a product that is not finished should not be sold as finished, because although the interface is very good, the planes are not actually controlled. Or, in other words: they are controlled: but poorly.

There are many go-arounds.
Without wanting to end up badmouthing FSHud, I commented that one hope could be BeyondATC.

They told me I shouldn't be so naive and believe in software they haven't released yet. And, furthermore, BATC will not have a connection with the jetways either.

In that sense, the fault lies with Asobo, which has us all wishing that they release the sdk so we can at least enjoy it.

And so we are:
PSXT has great real-time and historical injection, but bad data at many airports. But it doesn't have ATC.
AIG injects flight plans and has a multitude of models and repaints, but they are BGL plans that often do not reflect current reality.
FSLTL does exquisite things, but the planes do strange things on the approach path and land on runways that are not the ones used many times.
FSHud does not inject planes, it only controls them, but it does so poorly.
And Asobo puts planes in real time, but it introduces you to an Air China 747 on a small Spanish island, waiting at a gate. (apart from other worse things)

If I say it's wrong, I'm unfriendly, and if I say it's right: I'm lying.

I just wanted to share it.
thank you.

Let's wait and see Batc , so far it's promising..

use aiground and aiflow and you will have correct separation and no go arounds

Best combination for me is aig models with fsltl injector plus aiflow and aiground and in game atc (after SU14 is fantastic)

Did you try the public beta version 1.3? That still has issues but it's much better.

I have been experiencing the best of the experiences with FSHUD in both P3D and MFS.

I don't use any other AI injector, just FSHUD and it uses default liveries in both P3D and MFS, and I couldn't care less because that's more than enought for me, but OFC users that want to see RW liveries will use other traffic injectors, and maybe then FSHUD doesn't perform so well (?)

Regarding go-arounds, I have set the number of on ground and inflight AI to 20 and 15 respectively, and I only experience go-arounds from time to time, in what I could say it's a perfectly realistic percentage.

Driven by the decline in Realtraffic data

Just out of curioustiy, what kind of decline are we talking about here? The region I regularly fly in seems to not be affected at all. Which parts are now not as well covered as they used to be?

Hello.
Before the last Realtraffic update, i could be in LEVC, LEMG, LEAL, GCXO, LFMN, LFMS, LEBB, etc…. with better ground coverage.
Now planes are arriving and disappearing almost before touching down or on runway.

i can continue saying, i have tested also: EGNM, LEPA, LEIB, …

Balthasar is very kind and said to me he is looking for new data.
the combination RT + PSXT is beautiful!

Hello. The public bets version of fshud or fsltl?

when i opened a ticket in FSHUD they offered me to use a new beta. They said I was always complaining. I said to them that i prefer not to use that beta. Imagine: i buy a product, an after paying,  they are offering me  a beta.
The beta is what i bought, because it has, unfortunately, many bugs.

However I can give a huge list of airports where RT works perfectly. 90% of USA/Canada. The entire AU/NZ region, in Europe - all major airports with minor exception of ESSA, ENGM and LFPG. Yes, it's too bad that small airports in Spain aren't covered, but it's explicitly announces on PSXT website. No one is hiding anything from anyone.

I never said someone could be hiding us.

The information you give is not true. French airports, spanish airports, italian, greek…. European medium ones that had good coverage before, now are not covered.
as you can read here, there is not only me who is saying that.
people who paid a yearly subscription found also this problem since las update. There is now a post

😉

Funny that you quoted the post that I created 😉

Yes, RT has issues with coverage with local airports. But in grand schemes it work well. Yes, I do miss KIAH, KDTW, ESSA, ENBR and LFPG and that's the reason I opened this topic. But I can give a list of 55 major airports around the world (for which I have 3rd party sceneries), where PSXT/RT works brilliantly.

Its good that you have also created a post, asking for the same i have been asking for since one month.

On the other side, i dont want to feel the "obligation" to go to those 55 airport, instead of those 55000.

The major airports are nice, but they are not all. Its like lloosing the opprotunity to see anf fly to another wide regions. For example: LEMG.

And the major airports of France (lfpg), or ESSA, KIAH ,etc...are not covered. So...

Before, we could do that. i remember very well.

I asked Balthazar about the ground data provider onboarding and this is what he sent back to me:

"Still working on it. Now in the testing stage. Have a look at KIAH and let me know if it looks better there."

So, you may get at least one from your list back.

Well...you're right - KIAH is back in action!

Thanks for the hint.
