Finally got some time off work this morning to try a flight. Only things in the community folder were GSX and navigraph, with only EGBB (dep apt.), horizon 787 (and liveries), simbridge, FSTL, FSUIPC and simbrief panel linked via the add-on linker

AND......

It CTD before even reaching cruise

BTW if there is a way of adding these reports without copy and paste to make the thread neater just let me know

Hi all

I've just been through my content manager and deleted everything that's not used in flying around the UK. Hopefully that will make a bit of a difference

Are you sure you're using Addon Linker correctly. The crash report still has a lot of extra packages in use? Or are these from the market place?

 

Also can see you are using the FSLTL injector, try doing these two steps to see if that helps(From the FSLTL website)

• FSUIPC7: Fix as follows

  • Go into fsuipc folder

  • Find FSUIPC7.ini

  • Add "ProvideAIdata=No" without the quotations

• FSLTL Injector location: Some users may experience CTDs if your FSLTL Injector and Base models are both in your community folder, fix...
  • Move the injector folder outside of MSFS Community.

I think these were the marketplace add-ons, as there is nothing other than GSX and navigraph in my community folder. 

I have since cleared most of the content manager out except the things that are needed. I have also managed to complete a flight from EGLL to EGPD without issue in the FBW a320. I think for now I'm going to stick to the shorter haul stuff as I get less problems with these. 

I have just updated my graphics driver as well.

Ah that's good news. There is probably a conflict in scenery packages somewhere

You can move all your marketplace stuff out of the main fs folder (Your Drive Install:\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020\Official\OneStore) and use addon linker with those as well.

Try flyign with MSFS in safe mode, not great because of the lack of add-ons, but at least points to an add-on or system / msfs issue.

Well, Just had CTD from EGPH to EGLL. Time to wait for MSFS24. I've stripped everything I'm willing to loose out and it still can't work properly

Personally, I DO expect MSFS 2024 to be much better, and to be essentially free of CTDs, for this reason: for the first three years of MSFS 2020, I experienced no CTDs at all, until just in the last few months following SU12 and SU13, I have been plagued with them. Based on what I have read on this forum, this has been the experience of many others as well. I would be very surprised if MSFS 2024 starts out with this same defect, i.e., an instability making the sim more vulnerable to CTDs than it should be. That is hard to imagine.

I just started getting this error out of the blue. Peformed all the command prompt entrys,and renamed my community folder with no luck, to tired to go any further...

To those who are still getting constant CTDs in flight (markgrinyer and bigsky in particular):  As I have reported in a different thread, I had this problem -- specifically the 0x887a0006 graphics error -- tried everything to fix it with no result, until I came across this video that describes in detail how to adjust the settings in the Nvidia control panel to optimize MSFS2020 performance -- and voila, it worked! It might be worth your while to try this.

When using the Nvidia CP does it override the sim video settings? what happens if/when they are in conflict?

You can choose to have settings for a specific app (e.g. MSFS2020) override the corresponding global video settings. The video gives good advice on what settings to select for MSFS.
