Unusual Ways of turning your pc off

Featured Replies

Ok  wonder  if  any  one  has a strange  way  to  turn off  your  pc  other  than  loss  of  power?    This  just happened  to me  during a  2  hour  flight,  my  cat  decided   that  she  didn't  want  me  to use   the  pc so  she  decided   to  turn   the  pc  off  mid  flight.  My pc  case  is  a  glass   one  with  glass  top  and  side and  my  cat  always  jumps  up  and  sits  on  top since  its  warm.  The  on/off  switch is  on  top  and  illuminates  when on,   and  there  is about  a  1  inch  gap  between  the  top  and  side   glass  and  she  she  just managed   to  just  lazily  just   put  her  one  paw  on  the  switch,  funny enough   stupid  me  i  was  watching  her  do  it  thinking  surely  not 🙂   Now  i  have  to put  a  cover  over  it  now   since  now  she  know  what  to  do

grrr   4  hours  later  cat  step  on  the  on/off   switch on  the  pwr button( on/off switch )  that  was  plugged  in  the adaptor  power  board  which in  turn  turned off the power,  took me  awhile to figure  why  no power  was  going  to pc till i  saw  the  button  was  in  the  off  position.   think  going  to have  to  close  the  door   and  just put  up  with  the  scratching   to the  door 🙂

Yep, has happened to me.

My cat has trod on the switch on the surge protector on my floor and shut my PC down.

Regarding the PC power button, it's function changed some years ago. One quick press shuts down the PC like you would by shutting down via the start menu, and one long press sends a signal to the PSU to shut off. Long press is not a clean shutdown. The function of the button can be changed in Windows.

My cat Tigger occasionally changes the channel or turns off the TV via the remote control. 📺 😼

Lol, brought back memories of my old cat (Fluff) used to sit on top of my Marshall Valve Amp all warm and cozy, the 100 watts of 'orribly discordant punk rock guitar pouring out from the 4x12" celestion speakers didnt seem to bother her a bit (I think she might have been deaf)...I miss that cat

My chance will come soon...
