I've thought some more on this and recalled that in some of your recent screenshots you have used the On Top feature in AutoFPS, which could potentially conflict with LS's desire to be activated on a specific window. You may need to turn off the On Top feature in AutoFPS when using LS for LSFG to behave correctly, and I'd say that goes for any other app or utility that has an On Top capability. Something to try anyway.

A new test version 0.4.2.17-test13 is available for download here, containing just a few minor bug fixes and tweaks.

Changes since v0.4.2.17-test12:

  • Modified FPS settle logic to be a full 20 seconds on initial startup or reset to allow add-on apps adequate time to stabilise to the new settings.
  • Fixed TLOD Base + with the Auto TLOD method not seeking upon re-selection in flight.
  • Fixed TLOD Min Extra not being applied until after seek process was complete in non-expert mode.
  • Combined status line items for DX version and graphics mode into a single item and not showing DX version for FG because it is always DX12 and hence implied.

I use DX12 with FG, but AutoFPS shows DX11

Seems MSFS had reverted to DX11 - all ok now.

It was worth a shot. As @V1ROTA7Esuggests, it is most likely an issue with LS. I see a post very similar to yours on the Steam forum for LS asking about it, which I assume is you, so hopefully you'll get an answer there.

Yep, that’s me at the LS forum, unfortunately no reply yet.

Going to do a flight now with LS arcs higher priority to see if that helps.

And use test version 13

new test version 0.4.2.17-test13

Completed two flights today, each over two hours.  One was into Denver and KDEN.  With the scenery addons I load in that area, Denver has always tested my system(s), both previous and current. I stopped in Denver (test12) on the way to the west coast early yesterday.  (test13) on the way back today.  Butter smooth. Denver is no longer "testing" my sim.  Today I did not even peek at AutoFPS 0.4.2.17-test13).  Why waste my time!  I just flew and enjoyed.  This AutoFPS project and development has created a new sim experience.

I am using with FG, but am not using LS.

An update on progress. I am still putting on some finishing touches with TLOD Base Extra and Auto TLOD because the FPS cap gives some extra challenges over FPS sensitivity and tolerance automation modes. I've added an automatic TLOD Base Extra recovery mode for cases where the FPS drops temporarily below cap when taking off and have decreased the sensitivity to FPS drops when in external view because of scenery caching. Both are working well to maintain as high a TLOD Base Extra as possible throughout the flight.

Other than that there have been no bug fixes needed of late, so I'm getting close to putting out the release candidate version 0.4.3.

Guys, I need some help.

I am using this great app icw Lossless Scaling.

Client LS X2 ( 1 display )

Server LS X3 (2 displays )

AutoFPS has had several updates and LS has had an update ( to v2.9)

The following issue occurs on the server :

after 1,5+h the main screen on the server goes black. The extra outside view monitor keeps working, The sound keeps working.

To solve this I have to bring up the LS GUI and then Unscale / Scale and the main monitor works again.

As MSFS itself did not stop it is clearly that LS had an issue.
However, when using LS alone without AutoGPS I do not have this issue.

Also several updates back icw LS 2.8 it also worked.

All suggestions are welcome

( settings LS ? )

2.11 (two point eleven) might be newer than 2.9 (two point nine) depending on the version numbering LS uses... AND: there is always some confusion going on because some talk about the current version of the LS software (2.9) versus the current version of the frame generation routine (2.1). So what are we talking about here? 😉

A release candidate test version 0.4.3.0-RC1 is now available here. A few minor functional tweaks since the last test version, and one minor version number related fix, but mostly spit and polish in anticipation of impending formal release, hence it should be solid. Please let me know if you experience any issues.

TL;DR changes since 0.4.2.16:

  • Reduced direct MSFS interaction for a smoother flight experience.
  • Improved and expanded TLOD + for higher achievable TLODs.
  • Added Lossless Scaling app compatibility.
  • Streamlined UI experience.
  • Updated core components.

Summary of changes since 0.4.2.16:

  • Significantly reduced MSFS memory space interaction by up to 30 times when nothing is being changed by the app, leading to a smoother flight experience.
  • Redesigned TLOD + to take advantage of Asobo fixing the corrupt ground textures in DX12 issue in SU15.
    • Reworked TLOD Min + for FPS Sensitivity and Tolerance to allow far higher TLOD Mins than previously achievable.
    • Added TLOD Base + for Auto TLOD to raise the base TLOD across the entire TLOD altitude schedule and to work with a target FPS equaling a system's FPS cap.
    • Added TLOD Max + functionality to trigger additional TLOD at higher ground elevations, namely mountain regions, to allow much greater object drawing distance in scenic areas with minimal performance penalty.
  • Added Lossless Scaling (LS) app and associated FG scaling detection to allow the app to show the actual LSFG FPS being produced in MSFS and allow the user to set an LSFG target frame rate.
  • Completely reworked FPS settle and TLOD Min Extra seek timing to be mostly condition based rather than a set time period, resulting in much shorter settle/seek times.
  • Added Reset button to the General section of the UI that will reset your TLOD, Cloud, LSFG, and FG settings to initial app flight start values.
  • Revised status line to show the current allowable TLOD range and abbreviated other status items to reduce clutter.
  • Updated core supporting elements ( MobiFlight Wasm Flight and Dot NET) to their latest versions.
  • Added DecCloudQNonExpert config file option setting, which defaults to true, to be able to disable cloud quality reduction in non-expert mode by setting it to false.
  • Updated app logging to record events and settings relating to the new TLOD + functionality.

Changes since v0.4.2.17-test13:

  • Enhanced TLOD Base Extra with Auto TLOD automation method to save the TLOD Base Extra amount at the start of the takeoff roll then, if TLOD Base Extra reduced during take off, it gets slowly reintroduced when climbing through Alt TLOD Base as long as the target FPS is met. This allows recovery of TLOD Base Extra sometimes lost during the graphically intense takeoff roll that would otherwise be acceptable once away from this event that would not otherwise recover using the Auto TLOD automation method.
  • Decreased the sensitivity of TLOD Base Extra reducing by a third when in external view as the FPS drop experienced when previously out of view scenery coming into view is often temporary and should therefore be harder to trigger a TLOD Base Extra reduction.
  • Revised some UI labels and tooltips to be consistent with similar UI items and to reflect revised functionality.
  • Fixed current version detection to correctly handle single digit version number of last digit.
  • Updated version number and readme with new/revised functionality in anticipation of impending formal release.

I'm really confused now.  @GSalden is showing 2.9 on his latest LS, I downloaded mine again yesterday and it shows 2.11???  Anyway, I'll take it that my version is current.

To preface this post, I am a newbie to the fs world.  I have been using msfs 2020 for about 6 months now.  My system is in my sig.

I, like many others I am sure, have fought with getting the best graphics at the best frame rate possible in this sim.  I currently run with TAA on 1440P, VSYNC'd at 50% with 240Hz monitor.  I run it at this level because I am also using FG.  Therefore, 60 fps actually equals approximately 120 fps.  Half of my monitor's refresh rate.  All of my graphics settings are on max except for AMD Sharpening at 100 and motion blur and lens correction OFF.  But I digress.

I'm making this post to say that initially I thought that this app was not worthy.  In my journey of searching for the ultimate graphics at the ultimate frame rates, I, of course, came across the mention of AutoFPS (a name that shall be not mentioned in msfs forums.  lol).  Anyway, I tried it out but either didn't see much of an improvement or actually saw a performance decrease.

When I first started using this software, I was flying low and slow/fast.  It either didn't help much or caused a seemed to actually decrease performance.  Quite possibly due to my ineptitude in the software's settings.

Either way, I had been wanting to fly the B78X for a while.  I jump into the sim with the B78X at a gate and BBBBRRRRRNNNNNN... frame rates are dreadful.  I am used to 50-60 and smooth movement throughout.  Nope, I am seeing 15-19 fps and VERY stuttery movement.

So I thought, let me give AutoFPS another try.  Set the Target FPS to 60, cranked up the sim once again with the B78X at the gate and lo' and behold!  45 fps and smooth movement inside the cockpit and out at heavier airports (no 3rd party).  What a wonderful app.

All this to say, AutoFPS truly shines with airliner flying.

Many thanks to you @Reset XPDR !!!
