December 18, 20241 yr So does this work also in the opposite way? I mean if I set TLOD at 150 in the in-game settings, can this app increase it (let's say to 200) if there is room for it? or only decrease the settings?

Yes, if you are using non-expert mode, it can increase your TLOD above what you have set in MSFS settings. In expert mode you can set the max to whatever you like, just be aware of the consequences of doing so. As always, the readme reveals all. 9800X3D | 4090 | 64GB | 2+1TB NVME | 2TB SSD | 2TB HDD | 85/50/43” TVs | Quest 3 | DOF H3 Motion Rig | Buttkicker | T.16000M Flight Kit MSFS @ 4K Ultra DLSS Performance FG 80 FPS | VR VDXR Godlike 80Hz SSW | MSFS VR DLSS Quality, Ultra Preset - Windows 11 Acer Nitro 5 | i5-11400H | RTX 3060 6 GB | 32GB DDR4 | 15.6" FHD IPS 144Hz | 2 x 512 GB SSD | Windows 11

And by "fixed" do you mean it is actually fixed for your now? December 19, 20241 yr Quick question. I am using a quest 3. Should I be able to see the autoFPS menu while in VR? I see it in 2d but it goes away when I switch to VR. Is there any issues using this with the OpenXR toolkit? Does it matter if i am running spacewarp in the oculus debug tool of should that be disabled? Thanks for the help!
December 19, 20241 yr Although I do thank the both of you ResetXPDR and KayJay, it is true that having two VERY similar apps both for 2024 is confusing. I'm using KayJay's version as I understand this is the ONLY one that will evolve and add new functions for MSFS 2024. So, I really don't know why you made yours (ResetXPDR) compatible with 2024 if it will stop evolving anyway. You should somehow direct people to KayJay's version now for 2024, or it will continue to create confusion for people. I see YouTubers publishing several videos about the tool, but even they are confused about which one they are showing or which one they should direct people to. Thanks again for your amazing work, because in the end, it works flawlessly for me!

Having several options is seldom a problem. Just use the one that you're happy with. Me: I'm happy with Reset's version as I've used it from the very beginning when it was in early development for 2020. I'm probably one of those YouTubers who have talked about AutoFPS - Reset's version in fact - since that is the one I prefer. I'd also like to add that Reset has mentioned KayJay's version, and that they've collaborated in making AutoFPS compatible with 2024. So I'm quite happy with how things are at the moment. Just my 2 cents. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5
December 19, 20241 yr I have been using Dynamic Load (Adaptive Load) in 2D msfs2024. I don't need anything more than a few gentle changes in 2D. Because I don't get stutters or poor performance. (Probably because I love DLSS and not TAA). In VR, I do use Auto FPS (because I need more performance help there, not just a few gentle changes). 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Per my reply in kayjay's MSFS2024_AutoFPS thread, I've answered why I made my new versions and your other points are better directed at kayjay as I've done all I can reasonably do to make it clear who made what and which one users should choose. December 19, 20241 yr Author After many questions on "where has my app window gone?" from new users coming to AutoFPS any version in recent days, in youtube review comments in particular, I am thinking of changing an age old feature of AutoFPS that was inherited way back from the DynamicLOD days of the app residing in the system tray if the window is closed and having to close it by going to the system tray and right click close to exit the app, which I must admit is not very intuitive at all. I have finally learned how to deal with closing events for a window and I am now proposing that AutoFPS no longer has a home in the system tray, rather it acts like pretty much every other windows app out there that can be either have the window showing, minimise the window to the task bar and, new to this app, closing the app, after confirmation from the user, when the X close button is clicked. No more Leo, as cute as he is, in your system tray and no need to go hunting there to close the app! Here is what close would look like: Does anyone have an objection to me doing this? That is exactly what I would - after many month of always going to the tray to have it constantly open or to close it - much much appreciate, and as you outline I suppose most of the silent users not very often commenting in forums would also not object to: So: either have the window showing, minimise the window to the task bar and, new to this app, closing the app, after confirmation from the user, when the X close button is clicked. Thanks for offering this in the next update, Andreas
