Finally, if still having the issue, message me your log file from RC1, located in %appdata%\MSFS_AutoFPS\log and we'll take it from there. First of all, thanks for your support and your great work! With the "old" stable version it worked fine. At the moment, solved uninstalling, deleting everything, rebooting and reinstalling. Probably It happened a mess trying both yours and the other version. Just did a quick test and now it works. If it happens again, i'll bother you with the log, thanks so much!

I've kept an eye on the app for the last week or so running 2024, and it seems it works the same way as in 2020. In my experience, performance is overall better in 2024, hence higher TLODs can be reached. Still, I try to use a "reasonable" TLOD Max when flying complex aircraft in/out of large airports - just to make sure the performance headroom doesn't become marginal. In these situations, I also disable TLOD Min Extra and set TLOD Min to a value that gives me plenty of headroom. Edited December 14, 20241 yr by Cpt_Piett 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5

December 16, 20241 yr Hello Reset XPDR, I installed the newest version. I'm using MSFS 2020. No problems; installation was smooth and it's still working as promised in 2020. Thanks for all your efforts.
December 16, 20241 yr A must have in 2020 for me and doing a great job in 2024 now - couldn’t thank you enough for your hard work!

December 17, 20241 yr Hey I downloaded the new version of autofps and while installing I get the following: Could not determine Community folder location for MSFS2024. App may not work correctly with MSFS2024. I do have the community in a custom location but I did so aswell in the previous version of autofps back when I was using MSFS2020 and back then it worked. Any help would be appreciated.

Any help would be appreciated. This is usually when trying to install mobiflight and the community folder is not present where UserOpt.cfg says it should be. It can be manually installed to the community folder after downloading it from here. Let me know how that goes. BTW, the readme has been updated to cover this scenario. 9800X3D | 4090 | 64GB | 2+1TB NVME | 2TB SSD | 2TB HDD | 85/50/43” TVs | Quest 3 | DOF H3 Motion Rig | Buttkicker | T.16000M Flight Kit MSFS @ 4K Ultra DLSS Performance FG 80 FPS | VR VDXR Godlike 80Hz SSW | MSFS VR DLSS Quality, Ultra Preset - Windows 11 Acer Nitro 5 | i5-11400H | RTX 3060 6 GB | 32GB DDR4 | 15.6" FHD IPS 144Hz | 2 x 512 GB SSD | Windows 11
December 17, 20241 yr Thanks for the quick answer Reset, funnily enough I just managed to fix it myself but I did it differently. My drive (Where MSFS is installed) had for some reason the letter M assigned to it. Changing it back to the letter D fixed it. Now Autofps recognizes de community folder. Very strange but I take it. Thanks so much once again.
December 18, 20241 yr I just finished a flight from Milan to Bern in the Cows DA42. AutoFPS worked extremely well - performance was good throughout the flight and didn't fall below my FPS target. My settings for this flight: Note: I forgot to take a screenshot during the flight. I wouldn't worry too much re: my FPS being below target here as the screenshot was just a few seconds after I loaded into LIML. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5

Dynamic setting likely changes TLOD and maybe something else to achieve and maintain a target FPS. In my experience, and that reported by many others, it does a pretty average job at maintaining FPS, scenery loading distance and smoothness. At least with AutoFPS you know what it is doing and, from most reports made to me so far, does a better job of it on all three counts than Dynamic setting currently does. The best way to know for sure is to try both of them out. I will not be insulted if you prefer the inbuilt setting but I will be surprised. 9800X3D | 4090 | 64GB | 2+1TB NVME | 2TB SSD | 2TB HDD | 85/50/43” TVs | Quest 3 | DOF H3 Motion Rig | Buttkicker | T.16000M Flight Kit MSFS @ 4K Ultra DLSS Performance FG 80 FPS | VR VDXR Godlike 80Hz SSW | MSFS VR DLSS Quality, Ultra Preset - Windows 11 Acer Nitro 5 | i5-11400H | RTX 3060 6 GB | 32GB DDR4 | 15.6" FHD IPS 144Hz | 2 x 512 GB SSD | Windows 11
December 18, 20241 yr Hello everyone, the latest version of AutoFPS works extremely well with FS2024. I can confirm that the dynamic setting of FS2024 is indeed turned OFF in the simulation, and the software takes over perfectly. The performance is truly amazing with the software. Here are the settings: I9-13900K // 64GB 5600MHZ XMP1 // RTX4080 // Win11 24H2 // 4K 60Hz // FPS Lock 58FPS Wishing you all happy holidays! December 18, 20241 yr Not getting 2024 until Xmas Day, but I've been using the 2020 version for ages and one point worth mentioning is whilst keeping your framerate higher by reducing TLOD is great for the sims smoothness, it also makes TrackIR work a lot better as this can be very jerkey at low FPS. Using it in conjunction with the FRG mod has been giving me a great experience on my RTX3080 and the visuals are excellent with DLSS/DLAA which I wouldn't be able to use without these mods.
