Why I quit buying more MSFS addons and hardware.

Don't most of these modules state compatibility wit both MSFS and XPlane?, if they can work with sims from 2  different companies with different coding I don't see that compatibility with MS's latest version will be a problem and of course there is always FSUIPC to lend a hand

probably even better would be spad.next.  Assuming that product is compatible.

5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW  and 2  22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU,  360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next

With MSFS 2024 dropping Autumn/Late 2024, i am still continuing to buy whatever i like. I have no concerns as to what will be compatible come the new sim as MS have already stated most addons will be fine in 2024. I fully expect some to be needing tweaks etc, more than likely the more  in depth system replicated aircraft, but again i would expect fixes to be out pretty quick. If I recall rightly, devs are going to get  access earlier .. And if all else fails, there's always MSFS to fall back too, .So there's redundancy built in lol.

AMD Ryzen 7 5800x3d, MSI X570 Pro, 32 gb DDR4 3600 ram, Gigabyte 6800 16gb GPU, 1x 2tb Samsung  NvMe , 1x 2tb Sabrent NvME, 1x Crucial 4tb Nvme M2 Drive

It's going to be just fine. Most devs will update their apps/planes/scenery (if scenery is needed) because a great deal of people are going to migrate over to 2024. I will for sure.

If my favorite developers won't.....there will be a lot of complaints.

Well, I might complain but I will certainty never buy anything else from them again.

MSFS 2024. Primary Planes: Black Square TBM850, Duke, Baron, Caravan; A2A Comanche; FSReborn Phenom; Fexix A321; PMDG 737-7, 777: Utilities: Active Sky (Passive Mode); BATC, FSLTL.

There are certain developers you can trust to iron out any glitches - Just Flight, Flying Iron, PMDG, SWS etc. No problem with buying things from them. There are other developers, however...

Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting.

I’m not even sure I’m buying 2024.

You know you will.  If you're a flightsim fan, how can you not be in the rush to download at the same time as everyone else?  Reading the forum when the servers crash is part of flight sim 😁

CPU Ryzen 7800X 3D  RAM 32GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR5 6000MHz GPU GEFORCE RTX 4090
Monitor AOC AGON AG352UCG UltraWide G-Sync @ 3440x1440
Internal Storage 1TB NVMe PCIe SSD
External Storage Three 4Tb HDs

A lot remains to be seen with FS2024. The initial previews showed it morphing into an arcade game where you score 10 points for rescuing little Johnny from the cliff, much to the delight for some and horror for some others. They backed off on that a bit and said it will still be true to flight simulation, only better with 'missions'. We'll see.

With compatibility, it is one thing that an fs2020 aircraft will work in fs2024 and another that it will be taking advantage of the aerodynamic improvements offered by the new platform (let's be positive and say such improvements will exist). So, the aircraft still may have to be upgraded or risk being left behind by new aircraft being developed from the ground up on the new platform.

My logical brain tells me all the work and lessons learned from 2020 will mean 2024 starts off in a much better and healthier position.  I'm eager to see what the new version brings to the table, my 7800X3D + 4090 is ready and waiting!  🙂
