It's the DART people mover tracks cut into the hillside.

It's not necessarily quite as deep a cutting, but it appears to be an OK approximation.

I believe they used a dark texture for tunnel entrances.
But I have to recheck... Just checked and it's flat no cutting to give the impression of a tunnel entrance.

The MSFS archive 12.0.5 for PSXT contains a good airport file for Luton.

I'm guessing they probably built the airport so it connects to part of the photogrammetry and it would look weird without it. Maybe differences in elevation.

I wonder what percentage of the MSFS userbase does not use photogrammetry? As a potential customer for this airport, I am rather disappointed.
