April 9, 20242 yr Author My favorite Start region was Windows 7, which is what I use (Start11 by Stardock allows using the Windows 7,8,10, or 11 Start button region). So the window that pops up when I click on Start looks like this: There's couple dozen other mods for color, transparency, what tasks are assigned to the Windows key, etc. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. We are very lucky we have access to a computer and able to enjoy flight simming. Most people in the world it would be impossible even for a basic setup and that's even if they have electricity and internet. Edited April 10, 20242 yr by jason74 Jason Richards
April 12, 20242 yr I got black desktop last year after try the update fresh installed Ghost spectre WIN11(22H2), and also with ExplorerPatcher (essential for me as I need my task bar on the side of 2nd monitor.), I navigate to system Restore via cmd to get it back. Then I just block update until 2077, so far so good, no any update prompt from the system yet. So far the system runs robust, I didn't remember I got any BSOD for a year.
