BSQ Duke GNS 430/530?

Featured Replies

does not work here. I have the latest update (SU15 and BSQ) installed. Is there anything within the MSFS/Asobo what I have to install/uninstall to get the Garmin to function?

What exactly is not working?

If it's telling you it's not compatible, you may have to reinstall the Duke, then answer that you have SU15 installed when prompted; it doesn't detect this without a reinstall AFAIK.

All GNS screens are black when I start the flight (not cold&dark). No way to switch it on?

Hm, then it sounds like something else...

Does the GNS work in other aircraft?

Just to make sure: Avionics master on? No circuit breakers popped?

Just as a fault finding exercise, it may be worth installing the free version of the PMS and see if you have the same issue....

Well done, it was a trouble shooting step to ensure the avionics were powering up...

I just tried my GNS payware with the Duke, And both 530 and 430 turn on and operate without issue.

Just to be sure, which other a/c in MSFS Premium Deluxe uses the GNS 430/530? I'm not using many different a/c.

If you installed the Duke prior to performing the SU15 update, then you will need to reinstall it again, being sure to select YES when asked if SU15 Beta is installed.

This might be a viable solution if you're having issues with the Duke. I installed the dukes before SU15 and just installed SU15 like any other updates and so far, had no issues. But I did rename my community folder before installing SU15.

GNS 430/530 is working with Asobso C172 default.

I have re-downloaded the BSQ Piston Duke from JustSim 30 minutes ago. Installed with SU15beta option NO -> not working. Uninstalled. Installed again with SU15beta option  YES -> not working.

What else could I do?

Assuming there isn't a fuse out (although not sure that status saves anyway), have you switched the inverter switch upwards to main?

Did you try the freeware PMS50 to see if that fires up? Only suggesting it for fault finding....

If the PMS fires up then it may be worth asking over on the WT Discord, as it's a 530/430 issue.

G

Edit: the only issue I see on WT Discord is if it is installed with SU15BETA = No. In that case it looks like it is disabled.
