Ok it worked on my phone so I've watched it, a better interview with different questions and answers not a repeat of the presentation stuff all over again. Slightly disappointed they weren't asked about VR, thought of all the interviews this would be the one to ask.

Thank you about the feedback.

I have had many people ask me about VR.

Here's the thing: if I asked about it, I wouldn't have an answer. People asked Microsoft during the event. Everyone that was there (content creators) talked to each other or were close-by when those questions were asked to them, and we kind of grasped what could or not be talked about. Not to mention that we had limited time to do the interviews, and there were other things I wanted to focus on. Microsoft was not talking about VR and other matters except the generic "we're looking into it" and I know there will be more news coming in the near future. We're only a few months away from release after all.

Now, I am not trying to justify myself here. I asked the questions I wanted and I managed to get great answers. What I am trying to do is show you a bit of the mind work of those that are lucky enough to be able to do these interviews for the community. We can't fit all the questions into the limited amount of time we have. It's a balance and we eventually start learning about that balance the more we do this, and manage to do what we can do. I'd like to ask a lot more about the sim but I had to make tough choices. And even some of the questions I asked, were a missed shot and I wish I asked other stuff instead.

I could have asked them just to have the generic "we're looking into it" answer, which would probably be enough for some of you. I decided not to.

I also need to be honest here: besides some issues folks have with performance and the occasional wishlist (like the ability to record decent video while in VR) I don't really know what they could come up with that people are so interested and even frustrated because no one asked about VR. I have no issues, I don't have any friends that have issues and I don't miss anything except that ability to record one eye, for example. I've talked with a lot of VR users and, again, other than some performance issues, folks seem happy in general. I may be talking to the wrong people.

If you folks have any specifics that you'd like to know more of, send them over. Hit me at [email protected] or reply here. Email is easier as I don't cruise the forums that much.

If those are good questions or doubts, given the opportunity, I will ask the team.

Thanks @lwt1971 for breaking it up for the guys.

I for one am pretty happy with the VR implementation we have just now but there are always things that can be improved. The likes of the OpenXR Toolkit components. Could any of those options be added natively to the sim such as foveated rendering or FOV changes? Also native support for quad views would allow a more aggressive form of dynamic foveated rendering giving better frames.

Ryzen 9800X3D, RTX 5090, 64GB, Win 11. MSFS2020. Moza, MFG, Fulcrum & Virpil controllers. Quest 3 for VR.

I guess the best way to get their attention about any feature would be to create a topic about it or searching for an existing one and voting. If it has enough votes, they will look into it.

Really weird..., when in Helisimmer are usually only VR fliers. I think that was accorded before the interview..., ¿bad news for VR?, weird weird. I am not interested in FS24 till it has VR.

Is it in the title "Hell-isimmer" a joke or a typo?

It has VR in the same way that 2020 does. Been confirmed a while ago and reconfirmed at FSExpo.
