Thanks for this comment - made me try the Bijan product again. You are right, it does give a real good sense of depth. I used Bijan trees for a while before moving over to Rex Accuseason, primarily because of the weekly download/update of the trees for the season effect. I tried Orbx HD trees and was struck by the good colouring and detail in the trees. After your post I tried Bijan again (first time in a year or so) and really liked the scale and depth to the trees. In the UK I noticed a much better depiction of hedgerows and mix of trees. can't really go wrong with any of these products! I remember people thinking this before 2020 released, that the vast addons would be a thing of the past compared to FSX and P3D, yet here we are. There will always be something that does it better than default 🙂 🛫
August 3, 20241 yr FSX/P3D was never visually appealing without the layers of ORBX terrain mod addons. P3D couldn't get vanilla trees and foliage right, and still can't in the latest build. Instead of big jumps between seasons, it automatically subtly adjusts things every week. This makes it feel more like the real world, where you see a slow shift in the environment. October 7, 20241 yr Did some research and I was able to use REX AccuSeason Advanced or Bijan season together with ORBX MSFS Global Trees HD. From ORBX MSFS Global Trees HD only new vegetation and grass are used, and REX AccuSeason Advanced - biomes. Accordingly, there is a smooth transition between seasons. Here are some screenshots from REX AccuSeason Advanced with MSFS Global Trees HD If you are interested, let me know, I will describe how to make these add-ons work together.
