Slightly off-topic but still weather related. Storm Lillian, formerly ex-hurricane Ernesto, is currently crossing the British Isles. A reasonable amount of rain overnight and strong winds to follow this morning.

I love it when a cold front passes through. It often has short but intense rainfall and strong gusts. Currently pressure is rising Rapidly. Not something we see that often. The last 48 hours are captured well in these graphs.

Experienced those winds, not too bad here. Bit of rain this morning, now lovely again. 18C and 74% humidity. UV high. 14 -23 knots the wind. 1011 the pressure.

Winds are not strong at all. 35mph gust at 06:33. Humidity is high but lower temp and a breeze makes it okay.

Quite confusing that Temps.and pressure are in Metric. but wind speed and rainfall are still Imperial.

I'm old school Ian. 😁 I feel 1" of rain in a day is really wet. 25mm just doesn't cut it for me.

Same with wind as we're used to mph on our roads.

I actually agree. Although units here have been officially metric for 50 years, I must admit that particularly with height I find 6 foot 2 much easier to visualise that 2.3m  (or whatever it is).

I am used to kg for weight. Pounds and ounces I can just about remember but stones have me stumped these days.

You were at Millington?  That's neat, that is just south of me.   And, yes I postpone major work outdoors until November if at all possible.

I have never been to Millington, but I did go to Blytheville/Eaker AFB back in the early 80's when it was still a SAC base.  Amazing seeing a forest of giant B-52 tails taxiing around and it's something I will never forget.

Speaking of dehydration, I had severe case of that once.  Once is enough.  I learned to avoid that now.

19C and 87% humidity tomorrow.

Doing a cliff walk, should be rather moist. 

20C 88% humidity, today. Just been for a walk. My shirt is all wet. 🫥

Next Monday forecast to be 96%. 😮

Where I used to live in the UK, currently 65% humidity.
