Rather will nVIDIA put the 4090 on EOL than they are getting significantly cheaper. Especially due to the fact that the 5080 might be on a level with a 4090 but with only 16GB VRAM. Ohhhh dear, how I am already getting angry again about nVIDIAs VRAM idiocracy... Greetings, Chris AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 2x32GB DDR5 6000MT/s RAM, MSI RTX 4090 Ventus 3X, Windows 11 Home, MSFS2024

Ohhhh dear, how I am already getting angry again about nVIDIAs VRAM idiocracy... If they sell the 5090 at 2,000 $, no way the 4090 can stay on the market at 2,000 $ or more, like it is now. The market will see an influx of used 4090s from people who upgrade. The price of the 4090 will certainly drop once the new series is released, even in case of shortages and scalpers. It's always happened. Edited December 5, 20241 yr by MrFuzzy 7800X3D | 2x32 GB DDR5-6000 CL32 | RTX 5080 | Alienware OLED 34" | 1 Gbps fiber
December 5, 20241 yr That is why I bet the 5090 will be rather around 2500$ than 2000$. We will see. But for GPUs, the "normal" market principles failed several times in the last decade, so I am not that positive that we will be able to get a 4090 below 1500$. Dont also forget that the re-seller market over ebay and co. is something completely different for a GPU with this pricetag. At least myself, I would not buy a 1500$ GPU from someone over ebay, too much risk. Greetings, Chris AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 2x32GB DDR5 6000MT/s RAM, MSI RTX 4090 Ventus 3X, Windows 11 Home, MSFS2024

December 5, 20241 yr I have my eye on a new system featuring the new 9800x3d once I can buy one at list price. but I've been nicely surprised that 2024 is much better towards my 9900k and 3090 than 2020 is. I'm running on ultra settings, I haven't had hiccups. even over London/NY at twilight
