SU1 beta: new default cockpit view?

Featured Replies

Just installed the beta and it seems the default view in the Vision Jet is completely different. Is this some sort of new feature or something? I am sitting at a different angle than before, looking up a bit. I use BATC and have the BATC window aligned to a certain part of the cockpit but the alignment is totally different now. It just looks different and wrong. Should I reset something?

Clicked this topic in hopes to read that they had removed that walk-around thing...

I bought Walkaround Manager from simMarket and got rid of that until they give us an option to turn it off.

Huge difference! I want the old default view back!

Actually I prefer the second one, the first one is too zoomed in. But you know you can create a custom view, right? I always do that in all the aircraft and set it as I like.

Yeah, but I just want the DEFAULT one to be the same. I would need to change the zoom, the angle, the vertical position... I wouldn't even know how to get that done properly. I need to change everything, it seems. Why the heck did they change this?

Just tried to change the view to my liking but geez, all those view commands are new to me and the oddest things are happening... This will take quite some time...

Once you get used to it it's very easy and done in a couple of minutes. I always create 9 customized views in all my aircraft.

Do you perhaps which control I should use to bend forwards and backwards? I know how to go up and down, left and right, forward and backwards (all using keys) but I can't find the 'bend key'.

You can use the mouse (with right button pressed) or an Xbox controller for that.

The new default view is better, IMO. And: They included the correct views for the coolie hat in the Beta!

Hm, yeah, maybe I should just get used to it... Tried to create a new view and save it but when I pressed the save keys the view was screwed up completely...

as of this am fs2040 takes 3 to 4 minutes to connect to my departure location  initial loading for cloud is about 1  minute, and now all my control panel option for yoke and throttle have been set to the default and i cant fly any aircraft until i redo  my control options.  i am usuing the beta. it will take me at least 40 minutes to reset my controllers which are honeycomb yoke and throttles. this was fine until this am . i have been flying the 2040 after taking  over a hour to set up initial controller options which now are gone, anyone  else having these problems . i do still have 2020 on my computer which flys really good . i am so upset because when 2040 version works i love it. my internet  speed is 12 to 13 hundreds mps , so i know that is not the issue

Hitting Shift + c puts you right in the cockpit. Takes one second.
