There is an easy workaround: in the sim menu, turn HDR off and then back on and the colours will be back to normal.

@kevinfirth I'm not in the SU2 yet, but check your FG mod version, here the last one: https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/738?tab=files

OK thanks. I'll jump into the beta and have a look.

A few notes for those using FG with either 2020 or 2024 and AutoFPS:

  • FG is detected by reading the FG setting in the MSFS settings. If you are using an FG mod that doesn't utilise this MSFS setting, it will not be detected correctly.
  • Detection of FG is normally only performed upon starting a flight. If FG is enabled or disabled after this detection is normally performed, press the Reset button for it to be detected.
  • FG is only active when MSFS is in focus.
  • When detected as enabled and active, the base FPS provided by MSFS is simply doubled.
  • With 0.4.4.8-test20 or later, FG should be detected correctly in 2020 and 2024, including the SU2 beta for the latter.
  • If FG is not being detected correctly, and you are absolutely sure it is not just your FG mod no longer working correctly, contact me on my github and I'll take a look.

Does it wash out your colours like some users are describing?

My card is 30 series. Comparing between FSR and Lossless Scaling, the later gives me more clarity IMO.

So having got 2020 working great with FG...

I reinstalled 2024, applied the DLSS4 with DLSS swapper as I've done a million times.

I used the latest universal FG mod file, using the version.dll variant.  FG came alive in the menu options after this was applied.

So, without FG active...(see menu settings)

With FG active...

So FG is supposedly active, but isnt producing any difference in fps..   WHY?

ok, so after failing to get any version of the framegen mod to work in SU1, I rejoined SU2.

image.png?ex=67e6db65&is=67e589e5&hm=68e

image.png?ex=67e6db7c&is=67e589fc&hm=9ad DLSS framegen did not work

image.png?ex=67e6da4b&is=67e588cb&hm=110

image.png?ex=67e6db1c&is=67e5899c&hm=813 the native FSR3 framegen did work however!

ok some solution at least. Rivatuner shows the actual frames generated using FSR3 FG

So if I use Rivatuner to limit the real fps to 40, say, the FG fps drops to 80

image.png?ex=67e6dc34&is=67e58ab4&hm=6f8

Which drops the GPU usage and give me back some headroom again
and I get silky smooth headtracking back as well

Had the same problem with FrameGenMod after SU2. Went beck to live version and noticed, that there was no difference with Frame Gen on or off. I was getting about 40 fps.

I've found the solution by deactivation Smart Docking System in the option menu from the Dev Mode.

This system was preventing the Frame Gen Mode to work as it should be.

Hope I could help!

Nice find, I'll test that later on! Thankyou

Can you confirm which of the universal versions it was please?  The last update I can see was 16/3/25? dlssg-to-fsr3-0.130 (Universal)-738-0-130-1742150779

Was this with SU1 or SU2?

Correct, with both SU's including the betas.
Havent't had the opportunity to test the latest beta (.10) yet, but it alwys worked for all versions of FS2020/2024/nVidia drivers. Never had any problem at all.
