March 29, 20251 yr Nice video! There are some bugs in MSFS 2024 that the team needs to fix, especially with Career Mode and the latest SU2 beta (although people are reporting 1.4.9.0 that was just released today fixed a lot of CTDs), but what I like about the MSFS team the most is that they keep pushing the envelope of flight simulation. If you take into consideration what MSFS 2024 is capable of doing feature wise, since MSFS 2020's release back in 2020, MSFS 2024 shows how much the technology in flight simulation has advanced in the last 4 years. If there is ever to be a holy grail of civilian flight simulation simulation in the next few years, MSFS 2024 will be the closest to achieve it, similar to how MSFS 2020 was the closest to the holy grail of civilian flight simulation in 2024. The bugs will be fixed, and it will take them some time. SU1 was a very nice release for MSFS 2024, and showed the direction that MSFS 2024 is going. I hope SU2 also ends up as a very good release - too early to say now, since 1.4.7.0 was a pretty rough release for the SU 2 beta, but from the early reports, 1.4.9.0 is much better. Let's see where they get to by the end of the SU2 beta and when SU2 is finally released. Edited March 29, 20251 yr by abrams_tank i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM

March 29, 20251 yr Jose, When you have some time, check out some YT videos on SD Falchetti's channel: He's got 2020 & 2024 videos and they are among the best I've seen. MSFS

March 30, 20251 yr I don't even start 2020 anymore. Busy flying the new A350 all around the world so the other high-end vendors can take their time. Edited March 30, 20251 yr by DavidP David Porrett

Only problem right now is that I'm on the beta (1.4.9.0) is that I've read the latest update is not compatible 🙁 Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
March 30, 20251 yr The latest SU2 beta is much better than the first SU2 beta, no doubt. The sim loads fast. Flights load fast. But i still do get CTDs. Not as bad as the previous beta, but i see a lot of promise here if they can track down these crashes. I wouldn’t say the ground graphics are much better than 2020, however. At least with SU2, the graphics seem to have taken a step back. Honestly, this wouldn’t be a show stopper for me. Just fix the crashes, and tighten up the rest of the sim. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 96GB DDR5 | 4K G-Sync | Win11 Pro

I wonder what CPU you're on @RobJC, and if there might be any interrelation between users with CTDs and processor type? I created this rig of mine in 2021 specifically for MSFS 2020 🙂 and the friend who "designed" it for me convinced me to go AMD, Ryzen 5600x - now ratrher outdated but still pumping... I wonder if most users experiencing CTDs are on Intel instead? My GPU is also "barely" an RTX, 3060Ti 8GB VRAM. I almost never experienced a CTD since I use FS2024. Even in FS 2020 times ...
