Slow moving from profile to profile

Featured Replies

Su 2 1.4.18.0  Win 11 23H2 everything on NVMe

My sim needs 7-seconds to move from one controller profile to the next.  I have 14 profiles for my Honeycomb Bravo Quadrant.  That means I spend over 50-seconds (on average - having to cycle thru 7 profiles to get the one I need) when I switch aircraft.

I know there has been a lot of discussion about this here and on the official forum but it seems nothing is being done to resolve the issue.  Two Questions:

1) Is there any work around or tricks to employ to move thru the various profiles more expeditiously?

2) Is there a way to put my profiles in a particular order so that similar planes, e.g. GA Jets, are next to each other?

Using ProcMon I see that the sim reads and writes to each profile as I cycle thru them, even if I change nothing.  Why?

The most annoying part of 2024.

Drives me completely  nuts

They ever heard of a drop down menu.

This started after they listed a fix for CTD when changing  profiles, in one of the latest beta builds.

It takes a while indeed now. Annoying 😒, specially because proper association of certain profiles with specifc aircraft is lost...

Agree - MSFS2024 is amazing in all other areas, but this I have also noticed.

On the other hand, what is good must be tasted for longer...

Just that sensation of waiting for your next profile settings to load while you listen to the generic music theme of MSFS 😍 it's Tantric !!!

Yep it's been sloooooow! However. the good news is.. When you already set correct profile for give airframe you won't need to switch them again!

That does not always work for my system.  At times the last used aircraft is loaded when but the profile, which was active at the last shutdown, is not active and the sim shows "none" where I would expect to see the profile name.

That is odd! I have not experienced this. Although I noticed sometime profile associated to particular livery of the same airplane but not with another livery of the same airplane
