RIP Brother Paul

My brother Paul passed away a year ago today, it was difficult, he was (is) the greatest RUSH fan ever, tonight this song is for him...

LOVE YOU BROTHER PAUL

Best Wishes to you on this difficult day, Matthew. For the record, my brother is also called Paul, and I cannot imagine what I would feel like if I lost him.

I feel your pain Matthew - I too am coming up to the first anniversary of the sudden loss off my younger sister.

Stay strong, they would want it that way.

I am sorry that you lost your brother, the pain of such a loss is tremendous.  I would like to offer you some advice, for nearly three decades, this is something that I have told people facing adversity or loss.

The first day is the worst day.  The first week is the worst week.  The first month is the worst month.  The first year is the worst year.  The firsts are the worst.

I am a little over one year into my journey as a widower and I have found the advice I have given to so many is quite true.  The firsts are the worst, once the firsts are done, it gets better.  Although the sense of loss never goes away, the pain of loss becomes more bearable.

My computer: ABS Gladiator Gaming PC featuring an Intel 10700F CPU, EVGA CLC-240 AIO cooler (dead fans replaced with Noctua fans), Asus Tuf Gaming B460M Plus motherboard, 16GB DDR4-3000 RAM, 1 TB NVMe SSD, EVGA RTX3070 FTW3 video card, dead EVGA 750 watt power supply replaced with Antec 900 watt PSU.

Yup does get better, with the first year past I feel better. My brother was an older brother and he got into the drums at an early age, and was developing himself into becoming a prodigy on the drums, put his life into it so I always looked up to him and how talented he was. Unfortunately Schizophrenia took over his life and he had to give up the drums. He was well taken care of and had a good life, it is common for people with schizophrenia to have elevated heart rates as well so that is what contributed to his death his heart failed, but it was sudden as well.

Sad to see him go but also sad he never got to pursue his music any further he would have gone very far with it, so I like to think he is up there playing the drums with his hero Neil Peart.

+1000 Matthew!  A beautiful tribute to your brother.  He had excellent taste in music and drummers.
