Not that I am expert...but even with major WIN updates could be problems....I have to say that recently lot's of weird stuff happening. I was running for months without any issues, then MSFS update that suppose to bring some performance enhancements which didn't happened and then some WIN updates and every since then weird things are happening. And as per new drivers, I am at 7 month old driver. Whether that helps or not I am not sure. But with every update of "something" MSFS gets broken. And they don't care about MSFS as long as some kids killing games are working perfectly. Nonsense....

  • YES YES YES!!! 😃👍👍👍😃 FINALLY I got the sim to run again!!! When i rolled back to version 566.36 for the third time IT WORKED!!! Dont ask me how and why, but i got the sim running now!!! Fingers crosse

  • I’d uninstall in NVDA app if you use it.  A few months back this happened to me and it solved the issue immediately.  Sim has flown flawlessly since.

  • So you deleted current driver with DDU and installed 566.36 with no success?  If so a complete reinstall is in your future I suspect.  If not you’re missing a critical troubleshooting step IMO.  Good

how is it that i was getting ctds i updated my gpu driver worked fine for 3 days now ctd on load wth????

I have been down a long rabbit hole after my PC spat the chips at me after Win11 updates, driver updates etc... upon searching there are many and varied bugs and glitches that have been introduced from MS.. each kacking individual systems in some way and yet oddly enough, other systems are unaffected!

I ended up doing a full Win11 reinstall - buying a new SSD and a 5090 and thought may as well... (amazingly sold my 4090 for 3k!) here's hoping that my new install works as intended... it drives you bonkers to be sure as many times its a compounded problem from one update to the next... sigh

For the first time in my life I am happy since recently upgrading and for first time ever going with AMD. I am running windows 11 in dx11. But I have been through the whole crashing situation before (not having anything to do with drivers) and it is maddening, especially when you have changed nothing. Glad you are back up and running. After reading comments it does lean toward a windows update issue, and it also doesn’t..
