I flew msfs 2020 without any issues or other problems yesterday evening, smooth and as good as ever! And this morning I was unable to start the sim! I have tried safe/normal mode, deleted community files, to no avail... The sim starts, but when the "blue bar" reaches about 50% the sim shuts down... I have tried everything, and I am totaly lost at the moment... Has anyone else experienced this? And what should I do? (I dont want to reinstall the whole sim...) Is there a way to fis this?

Best regards

  • YES YES YES!!! 😃👍👍👍😃 FINALLY I got the sim to run again!!! When i rolled back to version 566.36 for the third time IT WORKED!!! Dont ask me how and why, but i got the sim running now!!! Fingers crosse

  • I’d uninstall in NVDA app if you use it.  A few months back this happened to me and it solved the issue immediately.  Sim has flown flawlessly since.

  • So you deleted current driver with DDU and installed 566.36 with no success?  If so a complete reinstall is in your future I suspect.  If not you’re missing a critical troubleshooting step IMO.  Good

Ok! So I am not alone then... How long have You experienced this issue?

It shuts down around fifty percent all the time? Could be the cache, or a corrupt file in the official folder, or a failure with your authentication. Ask your question to ChatGPT; you will get a couple of possibilities to check.

Yes, after 50% everytime... (safe/normal mode, nothing helps) This strange thing is that I flew last evening and there no problems last evening... This occured from out of the blue this morning...

No, that’s a real bummer!

I’m flying 2020 right now and it’s all fine.
Could it be a regional server thing? Are you all who are having problems using VPNs?

Doubt it’s a global issue though.
Hope you get it sorted- even if I’m OK now, who knows next time?

my bet is a server issue depending on where you are , try again the next day or so than if it doesnt work than you can try trouble shooting since if its a server issue and you start to change things than you could be worse off  than before

I am in Sweden... Maybe wait and try tonight again, and hope that is ok then. Its sooo strange since it worked perfectly yesterday evening. And this morning. Boom! Its impossible to launch msfs2020. What about if i try to "repair" msfs? In x-box app? How much of my settings/content do i loose in such a manouver?

Are you running DX11 or DX12?  Are you 110% positive Nvidia did not install the Nvidia App with the Nvidia drivers?

What you are describing will happen 100% of the time if running in DX11 with the Nvidia App installed.

Worth double checking?

Have a Wonderful Day

I choosed NOT to install the Nvidia App when i installed the driver... And i have always run the sim in DX11. I installed the latest Nvidia driver a few hours ago, and did not check the box for the Nvidia App... Could it install itself do you mean?
