So quest 3s I should go for ? Also does it have 6dof ?

The only regret I have buying the 3S is not having the crystal clear view of the real world when wearing the headset of the 3. The 3S has grainy sad passthrough and you cant read the desktop screens, its just wierd seeing the virtual world in higher resolution than the real world. Everything else is perfect (with the headset at least)

  • ... but if I look at your computer specs, which are in your signature, I don't see much use for VR.  😕

  • You want at least a connection of several hundred mbps to link the PC. Glitching means the connection isnt fast enough and you get compression artifacts, for me that meant wifi 6, the okder "5ghz" wif

  • I am now on USB 3 its way better, that Cub cockpit looks sweet.

Yeah but I have been using Google cardboard with ivry, though the lens are blurry but I had ssmooth performance on the rtx 3050

That's no comparison to a complete VR setup. A Q3S has a per eye resolution of 1832x1920, which means the GPU has to push 3664 x 1920 pixel to the HMD. Considering your system, you will not have any fun with XP in VR without turning it into an early 2000s visual experience with 3 trees, 2 buildings and London smog levels of draw distance.

I much prefer local as well. Amazon is really poor now. Let us know how you get on.

Hmm ok.

But it could be due to the hardware. just firing up MFS and then DCS to confirm.

Not sure what is going on, but when i enable the Link the Quest 3s starts to go weird and shows artefacts , even though the sim is not in VR mode, only the link to the pc is enabled. The data throughput is strong so I don't think its buffering , tried on both the USB 3.0 and the 5g Wifi.

The USB cable is a good quality so don't think that is an issue.
