...and therein lies the rub: there are plenty of people (myself included) that feel the weather is "good enough" and Asobo should tackle other areas of the sim before focusing on weather. Personally, I'll put fixing ATC, AI traffic and career mode at the top of my list. Once those are sorted, I'll gladly add my vote for improved weather 🙂

Yeah look in a “FLIGHT” sim I think it should be the other way around. Let’s get the weather perfected first including turbulence in clouds then AI

I thought it was a great example of how far more challenging and complicated developing a sim like this is than people realise. It goes for all sims really. It seems an obvious solution to the se

It was a shame about the T-28 video.  I thought it looked a bit of a train crash and really didn't show the aircraft at its best.  The stuttery video didn't help though.  I will probably buy it none the less as it is a classic for me.

Yeah it was funny watching him struggle to get it started, pretty cool it is a PS5 preorder, gonna be funny watching people crash the pi$$ out of it. I imagine blackbird will do a state of them sim showing it off a little better. Here is a shot of me ripping it up on FSX

Since it's a Microsoft product, probably not.

Since SU7 they are evasive of any question regarding Live Weather, the standard answer being "we'll have to talk to Meteoblue", so I was curious how they would circumvent the issue this time, as one question (0:35:10) was: "With night lighting being adressed by the team in SU4 beta, are there any improvements we can expect in terms of the atmosphere and clouds next?"

Seb then asks to play a video showcasing the improvements they made for the night lighting.

I guess it's their way to make clear that weather, clouds and atmosphere remain a sideshow in their flight simulator.

Probably in a lengthy enterprise contract that they may or may not have exclusive control over renewing/negotiating.

Finally got around to watching Sebs optimisation section, very interesting and he certainly paints a better picture of what he/they have worked on other than just saying "multi-threading". The simplistic graphs made it easy to understand, still a little way to go but it's all looking good in this department.

I'm thinking that AI is the way to go for simulation physics and weather..

It isn't.
