November 20, 2025Nov 20 Thanks! Any comparison from the cockpit? EDIT: found it Edited November 20, 2025Nov 20 by Luis Hernandez Best regards,Luis Hernández Main rig: self built, AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D (with SMT off and CO -50 mV), 2x16 GB DDR4-3200 RAM, Nvidia RTX 5060Ti 16GB, 256 GB M.2 SSD (OS+apps) + 2x1 TB SATA III SSD (sims) + 1 TB 7200 rpm HDD (storage), ID-Cooling SE-224-XTS air cooler, Viewsonic VX2458-MHD 1920x1080@120-144 Hz (G-sync compatible), Windows 11. Running P3D v5.4 (with v4.5 scenery objects as an additional library, just in case), FSX-SE, MSFS2020, MSFS2024 and even FS9! Lossless Scaling for all my sims. What a godsend...Mobile rig: ASUS Zenbook UM425QA (AMD Ryzen 7 5800H APU @3.2 GHz and boost disabled, 1 TB M.2 SSD, 16 GB RAM, Windows 11 Pro). Running FS9 there .VKB Gladiator NXT Premium Left + GNX THQ as primary controllers. Xbox Series X|S wireless controller as standby/mobile.
November 20, 2025Nov 20 The Boris sound pack is at 30% over at ORBX right now too. Got it this morning and did a couple of flights, and the difference is HUGE! I was sceptical, but it's well worth it. -Henrik Ryzen 7 7800X3D - RTX 5090 - 64gb DDR5 - Moza AB9 with MH16 Flightstick, MTQ Throttle, Thrustmaster Pendular rudder.
November 21, 2025Nov 21 Henrik, Which pack did you pick? There are a few specific for the engine type (GE, RR, PW) and one that is named Ultimate Sound. Does the latter cover all engine variants? Thanks Edmundo Azevedo
November 21, 2025Nov 21 I only fly the 777F, so I went for the GE only sounds. If you fly more than one engine variant, the Ultimate Sound would be the one to pick, as it is essentially all three engine sounds for the price of two-ish. -Henrik Ryzen 7 7800X3D - RTX 5090 - 64gb DDR5 - Moza AB9 with MH16 Flightstick, MTQ Throttle, Thrustmaster Pendular rudder.
November 21, 2025Nov 21 I'm waiting for a comparison with the new PMDG sounds. 2 weeks, be sure 😁 FS2024 • PMDG 738, 77F • FSL A321 • A2A Comanche, Aerostar • BS Baron, Bonanza, Caravan Pro • JF Tomahawk • TAOG H500C BeyondATC • GSX Pro • ChasePlane & Flow Pro • TDS GTNXi • FSUIPC • AutoFPS • RealTurb 9800X3D B650E • ROG OC RTX 5090 • 64GB DDR5-6000 • VKB Gladiator, STECS, T-Rudder • Tobii 5 • ISP 1 Gbps
November 21, 2025Nov 21 This is a great comparison but it is evident that almost none of the sound developers can ever get the distinct 777 flaps sound correct. On the 777 (any variant), the flaps deployment and retraction hydraulic noise is loud and distinct. You can't hear it loudly in the front of the aircraft that much......but you still can hear it, but once you go behind the Premium Economy section, you can hear the loud whine. Unfortunately, Boris did not catch it or simulate it. You can hear what I mean in the following video at the 3 minute mark. Dennis Edited November 21, 2025Nov 21 by DMullert Sincerely, Dennis D. November 21, 2025Nov 21 Hard to say, to be honest. I use a pair of very high quality headphones (Sennheiser HD 490 Pro) and the difference for me is extreme, but with a pair of small and tinny speakers you would not get the full experience at least. -Henrik Ryzen 7 7800X3D - RTX 5090 - 64gb DDR5 - Moza AB9 with MH16 Flightstick, MTQ Throttle, Thrustmaster Pendular rudder.

Dennis Hey, I did make this exact sound at around the slat area and a bit forward and behind it. It's the slats moving there, please check again because I definitely did simulate this! Edit: the video is also quite a long ways before the last couple updates in which I tweaked distances and such of this sound Edited November 21, 2025Nov 21 by Boris Vanian
