October 19, 2025Oct 19 Yesterday I stumbled upon a twotonemurphy Live Stream on YouTube titled "DC-6 Mail Run, South Africa Hub", (MSFS 2024). As far as am I am aware, the DC-6 has not yet been released for MSFS 2024. Thus, I am wondering if anyone knows how he got the DC-6 into MSFS 2024, is he using a Beta perhaps? I hoped that info would come up in the Live Stream but I had difficulty with the accent & missed it if it did.🙂 Thank you T45

October 19, 2025Oct 19 I’ve been flying it in 2024 just fine. Pretty much just that - copy from 2020 to 2024. I guess make sure it’s in a folder called Community and not Community2024?
October 20, 2025Oct 20 Waiting for the official FS24 neverending update from PMDG. Missing the PMDG DC6 in MSFS 2024 (she's here, but...).

While it's functional, it's disappointing that the long-promised native update has yet to materialize. This is especially frustrating given the historical lack of support for the numerous issues it had in FS2020, which PMDG often seemed to dismiss. For these reasons, I've come to think of their DC-6 as 'Cinderella', a capable aircraft perpetually neglected by its devs. Missing the PMDG DC6 in MSFS 2024 (she's here, but...).

Did you tweak anything in 2024, or did you find it appearing as a subset/Livery of another aircraft? [I have had that happen] T45

I am aware of those workarounds and they do work, but they are a pain in the ... and with some of the installers (e.g. Aerosoft One) you then have to be super careful not to mess things up.
