MSFS 2024 V4 blurry picture at start

Featured Replies

Hi,
Is there something wrong with my system? AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D,  64GB CORSAIR DOMINATOR TITANIUM RGB DDR5 (2x32GB) 6000MT/s,  NVIDIA 24GB GeForce RTX 5090 driver 591.59.
At the start, I get this blurry picture for about 15-20 seconds.

Freshly retired after 41 unforgettable years on the Boeing 747. The flying days may be behind me, but the memories never will be. Now I have the privilege of sharing those experiences—and continuing to learn alongside the next generation of pilots—in the Level D simulator. Aviation has a way of keeping us all pilots, no matter how many hours we've logged.

It's just loading (streaming) in the textures, that's down to your internet/their servers etc nothing to do with graphics drivers.

Pico Neo3 Link VR - Windows 11 64bit, Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Elite Mobo, i7-10700KF CPU, Gigabyte RX 9070 XT OC 16gb (AMD GPU), 32gig Corsair 3600mhz RAM, SSD x2 + M.2 SSD 1tb x1

Saitek X45 HOTAS - Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals - Logitech Flight Yoke - Homemade 3 Button & 8-directional Joystick Box, SNES Controller (used as a Button Box - Additional USB Numpad (used as a Button Box)

Yes, as Marc said that is 100% a streaming bottleneck issue.  I had it once when my internet had a fault and was running slow.

Perhaps try disconnecting your internet / routers and restarting everything.  Or use one of the online tools that tells you your connection speeds.

My internet speed is consistently 940 Mbps download. I switched servers, and I can't see any difference. This happened after the major update, along with intermittent delays in loading cockpit textures.
There's always something going on with this.

Thanks.

The bottleneck may very well be at the Microsoft end... not much you can do 😉

Your internet speed won't count for much if the servers are overloaded, it's the weekend as well so more players are online stressing the servers.

That happened to me when I selected FREE FLIGHT for the very first time this morning. However, the terrain was fully resolved the next time that I went through this process (at the same airport).

I’ve disabled the Rolling Cache via the folder on desktop/delete method so I get it all the time. Zero cares as it loads I’m pretty quick.
