Water square west of EGHH Bournemouth

Featured Replies

Is anyone else seeing a large square of water west of EGHH Bournemouth? It looks like a flat section of water from a distance, but when I get closer, the terrain underneath it starts to morph and change. I have UK2000 EGHH Bournemouth and Burning Blue Design Solar Panels installed that display scenery in the local area.

Hello,

Yep same issue here with 100% default scenery, but it looks like an easy fix. I think you now know how to fix it yourself with the SDK but, if needed, you can try the little file below.

here's the result of that area after applying the fix.

Aha!

I spotted this as well and was about to post yesterday - I’ve seen a similar square near KMSP airport.

I believe I only have default scenery anywhere near these.

Is it an Asobo root cause or something caused by a conflict someplace?

Merry Christmas!

Steve

If you zoom in on the world map there is square missing just west of Bournemouth. It looks like a temporary issue with the streamed landscape tiles.

I just noticed a square like this near EHAM. I have the FlyTampa one.

Interesting.I often fly from Plymouth or Exeter to Bournemouth and don't recall noticing this issue.  Is this something that has just arisen recently?

Two screenshots showing the rogue rectangle of water south of EHAM Amsterdam Schiphol. It is huge on the map, but it changes size and shape as you move closer to it.

It is the body of water in the far distance (as seen from above the runway 06 threshold).

I flew to the west of Bournemouth today and noticed it just south east of Canford Bottom.  The reason I had not noticed it before was that I usually fly along the coast there and would miss anything that far inland.  I will try downloading the fix.

I can confirm that the fix works. I had a more relaxed flight at Bournemouth today without that blemish insulting my eyes

Working fine here as well Chris.

Thans to Bad_T for the fix.

i had a quick look at EHAM but unfortunately it's another kind of issue and beyond my very limited skills so i'm unable to fix it 😳 .. i'm sure (hope) they will fix that soon, it's not like it's some isolated part in the middle of some unknown desert. With the millions of users and the popularity of EHAM it's even strange that i could not see any report about that in the official forum.

Yes, I agree. That huge rectangle on the map is hard to miss!
