is everyone still getting a brief pause or stutter taxiing?

Featured Replies

It really is not part of any suttering session, rather it is any airport no matter where how dense or sparce ... I can not get to or from a runway without one "fidget" or stutter or instantanous pause that seems like what used to be hard disk access...

TLOD AND OLOD 100 each many things like airport details are low / medium characters and ground traffic NO LIVE TRAFFIC at all. Many ultra things...

i9 5090 / newest DLSS 4.5 / but this issue has been going on for years... one stutter each airport somewhere....

anyone else? Hope so!

I get great performance overall but bad stutters after landing turning off the runway.

Exactly why I turn on Dynamic Mode.  Some folks see blurries with it on but not here.   I use TLOD 150 / OLOD 100.

It is definately a stutters be gone fix.

I get it as well, but not all the time. Some flights I'll get it, then the next day I'll do exactly the same, and don't get it. I'm thinking it might be network or cloud activity. Not sure.

I too have found Dynamic Mode combined with the latest version of MSFS_AutoFPS which now works with Dynamic Mode has almost eliminated stutters on the ground. The nice thing with AutoFPS is that as long as the performance headroom is available it automatically moves the LOD up as I climb, so I enjoy LODs up to 400 once I get to cruise without having to keep a constantly low LOD in order to mitigate stutters on the ground.

what does dynamic mode do vs just keeping LOD at 100??? and what dynamic mode setting do you use?

I am also getting this stutter, it is just like the OP said, its like evertime the computer has to read something from the hd it stutters. I have a two ssd'2 and it is like the old days when accessing a hdd. Even when I start the vsr app for vr flying I get a long pause until it loads. Very annoying, up in the air very low stutters unless I load in vsr so I really think it has something to do with reading from ssd. I have shut off Rolling cache because it was crazy with stutters with that on because it was reading and writing to ssd.

Thanks for help

I've noticed when I do a 'clean' reinstall of the GPU driver, or update to a newer GPU driver, the first several flights will often have zero of these pause/stutters.  Over time this changes and I will see a few of these, in part scenario-dependent.  I kind of doubt we will ever see zero always there are just way too many variables involved locally and remotely.  That being said it is pretty cool when you have zero of these at departure and arrival.  Since SU4 video animation quality has been absolutely fabulous...and it was almost that in SU3!
