FSHUD and AIG

Featured Replies

Hello

Is anyone using FSHUD with AIG ? I’m considering buying it, but I have some concerns:

1. How does the integration with AIG work ? Does FSHUD ignore AIG bgls and injects its own schedule into P3D ?

2. Does FSHUD provide good AI traffic management (separation and everything else) ? I’ve been using AIflow and AIground for a long time. Is FSHUD better ?

thanks

Eduardo

If there are ade files with errors forget it. I have removed fshud from my system. I am transitioning to xplane 12 anyway.

Have you considered Radar Control v4? It’s free and integrates very well with AIG and P3D.

Search the AvSim library.

I use FSHUD and really like it.  It is still being improved on, including a recently released airport configurator which lets you tweak active landing/departing runways amongst other things.

Adding the author @FSHud as he is also on avsim and can answer your questions here better than I can.

id suggest joining their discord as well as you may be able to find the answers you’re looking for there.

Yes,  AIG works with FSHud.  In fact,  AIG is the only traffic models I use because of better performance in the sim.

If you just check the AIG option inside FSHud, it will read AIG’s flight plans and spawn aircraft accordingly — you don’t need a separate injector running.  This means FSHud itself injects the traffic based on AIG flightplans.

FSHud also supports traffic injected by AIG Traffic Controller (AIGTC) via its API (called “External traffic” in the settings).

In that case, AIGTC runs alongside FSHud and pushes traffic into the simulator; FSHud then controls & manages that traffic.

So yes — FSHud can both read AIG plans itself and work with external AIG traffic injectors. It also attempts real-world traffic separation, speed assignments, and vectoring similar to real ATC practices.

Is it great?  Its ok...  I own BATC and Say Intentions as well,  and so far prefer SI.

Neither of these work in P3Dv5. Sorry, this is the P3D forum.

I never used AIGFP flightplans in P3D, so that I can't confirm. But I've done so in MSFS and they work, even combinging BGLs and AIGFP, with no issue and no need for another injector. I can't see why wouldn't this work with P3D. FSHud does the injection by itself, i.e., it reads both BGLs and AIGFPs and with that it creates the schedules to inject to the sim.

Yes, it does. Sometimes I believe the separation is too strict, and it doesn't favor the user aircraft. I mean, sometimes I end up doing some funny patterns after being lined up with the runway, because traffic was too close, and FSHud didn't priorize me. I never tried the other two utilities you mention, though.

Lossless Scaling for all my sims. What a godsend...

Mobile rig: ASUS Zenbook UM425QA (AMD Ryzen 7 5800H APU @3.2 GHz and boost disabled, 1 TB M.2 SSD, 16 GB RAM, Windows 11 Pro). Running FS9 there .

VKB Gladiator NXT Premium Left + GNX THQ as primary controllers. Xbox Series X|S wireless controller as standby/mobile.

I also use FsHud with AIG and AIGTC, and they work great together. It's a bit heavy, at least for my pc, but  really immersive. Not perfect, with the AI traffic sometimes on aproach going suddently to slow wich makes me turn around to give it "space". But it keeps being Updated and any problem, I always had feedback from support.

I’ve never tried FSHUD. Never felt the need.
