We recommend DLSS as TAA doesn't like Glass LODs. Some flickering happens on  Terminal A (high window/frame density) as it gets smaller. That being said, we develop these products for costumers with average setups. Depending on your rig, you may not even have flickering. On my RTX 4080 its barely noticeable....but I transitioned to DLSS after the latest NVIDIA update, never going back to TAA.

However it doesn't mean you cant use TAA or any other setting to your liking.

Thank you for the info. I do have a 4090 and with DLSS enabled I’m seeing blurry gauges and clouds that with vertical artifacts.

I’ll probably end up buying it.

Gracias 🙏🏼

possibly, did you remove LatinVFR first? (assuming you had it). We use both FSTL and AIG....no issues.

I never installed Latin VFR, I'll go check again, I have nothing installed in that area, it's all default. Don't get me wrong, I really like the scenery, I just want to make sure it all works!

The problem with dlss is the ghosting of gauges in the virtual cockpit.

edit. I’d love to use it. But can’t accept that

I use DLSS with an old Oculus 2 and don't get ghosting nor blurry gauges, but I mainly fly Fenix A320 and PMDG 737...so not sure of others. But everyone's experience is different.

I know some folks swear by DLSS swapper but Ive never tried it.

I don't use VR.  But I also have not heard of a single person who does not get the blurry gauge thing.  Example speed tapes and altitude tapes.   It's a known limitation of DLSS in flight sims.  Ghosting was not the right term I should have used.

TAA presumably affects other airports in the same way, so is it just more pronounced at this airport? I do not fly in this region of the world, but I have TAA selected (which will actually be SSAA as I also have DSR enabled at 1.75x), and I can live with whatever happens at all of my airports.

I’ve flown in and out of this airport a few times yesterday and didn’t notice anything amiss using TAA in 4K.  I did try going to DLSS quality but immediately switched back due to blurry gauges.

The one bit of flickering I saw was at a soccer stadium as I took off eastbound.

The only graphical issue I noticed was that some objects were loading in quite close to me on the ground (mainly ground clutter), it seemed like perhaps the LODs were a bit aggressive?

Yes, I can certify the LOD was supper aggressive....my benchmark was Fenix A320, VR, FSTL reaching 100FPS at the gate during pre-flight (at night).

May have to dial it back some on the first update.

I wouldn't say the issue is more pronounced, you can have a perfectly normal flight on TAA with zero issues. We did provide the statement so that if you do run into an issue, switching to DSLL generally resolves it. Again, being considerate that most of my customers may not have the best rigs. Also want to clarify this is not a developing issue, its actually normal behavior at higher LODs with transparencies.

I wouldn't "avoid" just because if this, but certainly can understand. 😉

One thing I’ve noticed using Beyond ATC at this airport, the taxi instructions often don’t make sense.  Taxiing from the man terminal to runway 28 I’ll be asked to cross runway 28, then get a list of taxiways that don’t form a logical path to the runway.

Similarly I’ve heard aircraft being told to cross runway 27 which I don’t think is possible.

yeah there's no rwy 27 in SJU but there is one in TJIG close by. Not sure how BATC works, is it AI or online traffic? AIG and FSTL work flawlessly, as in, they are reading the taxi tracks correctly.

Sorry I meant runway 26.

I don’t know the detailed workings of BATC, but perhaps someone else here knows how it determines taxi routes.

I was interested in this as well, but agree with what others have said... if TAA is not what should be used, than it's a deal breaker for me as well. I use TAA exclusively and will not use DLSS.

Happy to report not a single TAA related issue has been reported.
