March 4Mar 4 Hi all, Working on a bit of a larger airport now. Came across some news that the Napa Airport is in the process of a major renovation with two new FBO facilities, so I thought it might be another northern California field needing an update. Early days yet, as there will be a lot of stuff to add. I haven't been there in years and was surprised at how much change there has been. The Atlantic terminal/FBO will open later this year, so hopefully there will be better photo sources at that time for a further update.

March 4Mar 4 I'm just curious are the buildings, or some of them, photogrammetry? Some look a little bit melted, just slightly. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

Yes, unfortunately in many cases the real world dimensions and details are not available. So I am generating them from Gmaps/Bing or photos with some limited cleanup in Blender. I contacted some FBOs asking for source photos but they rarely answer. If they give the general impression hopefully that's better than default 😅 Edited March 4Mar 4 by Nandengo12

So you must be manipulating them which makes sense. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

March 5Mar 5 Author Some work meetings cancelled this afternoon, so made a bit of progress with the east and south GA ramps. The default selection of hangars were terribly inaccurate. Amazing how they are so good at some airports and so off at others...oddly enough the surrounding industrial warehouses and local Amazon distribution center look good enough with the default OSM generation, so I won't need to replace anything.
March 19Mar 19 Author Much more progress after a hiatus due to busy period at work...remade some of the models, and things are looking a bit better. Also added some local details like the CHP facility and Cal-Fire Chinook based on field. Got most fencing and small details in the non-terminal area done. First time doing a larger airport...there's a lot of small stuff to attend to, but it's coming together I hope.
