AMAZING FEATURE Aerosoft/Toliss A340-600 Save Situation

Featured Replies

This Save Situation function is an absolute amazing feature to have on the Aerosoft/Toliss A340-600

Previously I rarely use autolands at all - it would always feel like a "waste" of a flight if I let the plane land itself. With this function and the smooth user friendly way it reloads the situation, each landing can be done as many times as you like.

So I guess the key question now becomes... who did it better LOL.

Yup, love this feature too. It's great for practicing landings, and it loads sooooo quickly... quite a bit faster than FSiPanel.

The replay and the "skip to waypoint" feature are two other features in the same vein that I really love about this addon.

So true. All the other types of saving and reloading in the past have been very clunky and usually results in the plane being out of config in some way. With this one it’s absolutely brilliant.

Loving the innovation these guys are bringing to the sim.

Been using it for quite a while in my Toliss Xp12 buses 🙂

Works great !!!!

Flightsimming since 1992

Before upgrading to MSFS 2020 and then 2024, I used X-Plane with, among other things, the ToLiss A320, which had a save/load option for flight scenarios; examples:

  • Aircraft configured and ready for takeoff,
  • Aircraft configured and 10 NM from the TOD,
  • Aircraft configured and on a vector,
  • Etc...

Is this the same feature you're referring to, the one implemented on the A400-600?
If so, I haven't found any tutorials that mention it, and I know pilots on forums who never switched to MSFS because this unique ToLiss feature, which allows you to replay the same scenario indefinitely, wasn't available.

Thank you in advance for your clarification.

Yep, it is now on the MSFS version of the A340-600. You can save it at whatever point you like. I save one at TOD so that I can fly the full approach (or in case the weather changes to a different runway), and one at final so I can practice landing.

At the moment the only issue that is already mentioned by Toliss is that the weather isn't saved (due to MSFS issue), so if you do load it another day and the real life weather has changed then you might end up with a tail wind. But if you just have time to do one flight like I did today - I had a bit of spare time at the end and I re-ran the landing scenario 6-7 times just to get the hands on time, along with testing out the autoland

Thank you for your concise explanation.

I think that for those who want to do "Study Level" (myself included), this is an essential feature for making progress and more easily understanding mistakes.

This is a great step forward for MSFS 2024, and I hope others will follow.

How is the replay function? Can you spot your landings for instance?  I havent seen this since FSX days with a external camera addon where you could place a camera with the Mouse and then replay the approach.  Ezdok i think. Would also not disrupt the airplane systems.

From what I understand, this isn't a way to replay the entire flight or a portion of it, like Flight Control Replay.

It's a function to record a specific situation (aircraft status, altitude, speed, and other components) at a precise moment during the entire flight (NB: This goes beyond simply recording the aircraft's status on the ground, as offered by PMDG).
This allows you to replay the flight if you recorded the situation at takeoff, to replay a specific approach if you recorded the situation at the IAF waypoint, or to replay a failure management scenario if you recorded the situation before the failure.

The SAVE and RELOAD function in the iniBuilds A340 and A350 works flawlessly as well.

The original discussion is about the "save situation" feature, but the A340 also has a a replay feature that does allow you to replay parts of the flight - and works very well IMO. It works great for replaying (and critiquing) landings, or any other parts of the flight that you want to review.

Best replay function on the market. It remembers about the last 90 minutes of the flight, every control input, every engine parameter, every control surface movement. Great to review your landings. You can even do it at x.25 time. And of course you can move the camera everywhere you want while doing so.

It’s also very well done.

See the end of this video (around last 2-3min) where I used the replay and watched my own landing from outside. From around 16:10 after I finished the shutdown it shows you how the thing works.

Great to see been campaigning for features like this for a long time and heavily criticised in these forums as not needed no replays in real life. Great to see well done toliss also well done to PMDG , Leonardo , Inibuilds , Flight sim labs . All who have similar features to some levels of success . Now for the hall of shame , Asobo they literally removed the bugged save /reload from MS 2020 and replaced it with nothing . Well sorted out the bugs . Fenix they just cant be bothered . Just flight well they try but just cant seem to make it work. Aerosoft CRJ in the cant be bothered section. Hope that helps any one on there next purchase. If you know of any aircraft I have missed always good to know and never now purchase without this type of functionality.
