  1. I’d give these guys a chance. Don’t do a iniBuilds thing where 20+ fixes later the bugs reported from the start are still there… Rhodiumsim - please focus on the systems and flight modelling. You get this covered then the product will speak for itself. I can already see it features the “runway ahead” part on the PFD, that’s already more than the iniBuilds. Keep at it.
  2. It’s also very well done. See the end of this video (around last 2-3min) where I used the replay and watched my own landing from outside. From around 16:10 after I finished the shutdown it shows you how the thing works. https://youtu.be/KffXPQdhxog?si=nyKf2laK8WF5LA-p
  3. Yep, it is now on the MSFS version of the A340-600. You can save it at whatever point you like. I save one at TOD so that I can fly the full approach (or in case the weather changes to a different runway), and one at final so I can practice landing. At the moment the only issue that is already mentioned by Toliss is that the weather isn't saved (due to MSFS issue), so if you do load it another day and the real life weather has changed then you might end up with a tail wind. But if you just have time to do one flight like I did today - I had a bit of spare time at the end and I re-ran the landing scenario 6-7 times just to get the hands on time, along with testing out the autoland
  4. So true. All the other types of saving and reloading in the past have been very clunky and usually results in the plane being out of config in some way. With this one it’s absolutely brilliant. Loving the innovation these guys are bringing to the sim.
  5. This Save Situation function is an absolute amazing feature to have on the Aerosoft/Toliss A340-600 Previously I rarely use autolands at all - it would always feel like a "waste" of a flight if I let the plane land itself. With this function and the smooth user friendly way it reloads the situation, each landing can be done as many times as you like. So I guess the key question now becomes... who did it better LOL. Me: Autoland:
  6. Yep. I held off on this for quite sometime, thinking I’m more of a modern airliners person. This thing blew me away. First time a heavy aircraft actually feels heavy. I also highly recommend the extended simulation with failures. My previous landing was fairly heavy. When I started the thing up today, I had a tire low pressure and needed a tire change! Absolutely brilliant.
  7. I am waiting for the Aerosoft/Toliss 346. I have the iniBuilds A350 - pretty to look at superficially, but don’t dig into systems is the way I treat it. I have a feeling that their A340 is of similar quality - excellent for the visuals and general use, but definitely don’t dig deep or you’ll be disappointed. There are bugs on the A350 that I’ve reported at least 10 versions ago and still pending or not going to be fixed…
  8. True to life systems depth definitely 777 hands down. PMDG is known for the quality in this regard. I don't have the iniBuilds A340 but I do own their A350 - it's absolutely eye candy to look at in terms of interior and exterior modelling, but some system depth could be improved upon. Looking at their forums it does seem a lot of the systems issues are carried over across their airbus range. Some of this can distract a fully immersive experience once you start to scratch beneath the visuals, which is why I have not purchased the A340. I await the Aerosoft/ToLiss A346 - which I hope will have much more systems depth for an A340.
  9. I got a new Winwing URSA MINOR stick now, it’s night and day to the Thrustmaster. I’ve been having the Z-axis twist (which I use for tiller/nose wheel steering) wobble for a while and I’m sick of needing to open the thing and twigging it… it’ll be better for a while then it worsen again.
  10. It’s not the actual “detents” per se though. You can still use something similar to set up the range where you have idle thrust to full toga, and reversers if you have it.
  11. Typical PMDG … I’m on a thrustmaster airbus, took me a while to figure out how to calibrate it to the 777 for MSFS24. Seriously need to have a look at how every other aircraft including the free FBW A380 does things - every plane has a throttle detent set up!!!
  12. Yea i'm seeing the loyalty discount too at $30USD which is around $45AUD... I own only the -700 for FS20. Still not decided to buy the -800 or not for FS24 even at this price. To be fair I'm just sick of the same aircraft, for the last 15 years to be honest. Release something new and they'll have my money... Will pass for now.
  13. Need more new planes… the 737NG gets a re-release every time there is a newer simulator. This is the first time I’m going to sit this one out, I’ve owned the thing since P3Dv2 and for every subsequent simulator since then.
  14. I’m on a 7800X3D / 4090 and the FBW runs well at 1440p. This is my performance with TLOD at 200 and OLOD at 120, no AI traffic as I mostly do either just me or VATSIM.
  15. As much as I am excited for this - my 2nd ever flight was on a Cathay A340-300, as an owner of the A350 I’m less inclined to buy this. Will wait for reviews once it’s out… I hope iniBuilds can improve the Airbus systems logic and depth. At the moment the A350 is fun to fly, but system depth is very mediocre. Problems are still existing after 15 updates despite being reported to be fixed.
  16. While I’m not a pilot and cannot comment on the flight dynamics of specific aircrafts. I do feel PMDG need to innovate more… over the last 10+ years we’ve essentially had the same Boeing jets - 737/747/777. The way we interact with them remains the same. Things like throttle calibration with different hardware should be fairly standard on most planes, even the free FBW A380 has it. Made it really difficult to set up the 77W for MSFS24. Also in response to the recent video of ToLiss/Aerosoft A346 showing taxi-cam, I felt like there were a lot of slamming on how “unrealistic” it looks, but my point is at least these team are working the problem and trying to find a compromise to try to achieve something new. I for one will not be rebuying any more 737/747/777s, I have my favourite frame the 77W, and that’s all I need.
  17. Fenix all the way. Can’t want for this to drop. Hopefully the NEOs aren’t too far behind, but I’d much rather they take the time to get it right. Quality work takes time
  18. I’m grateful for all the work MS/ASOBO have put in. Yes FS24 may have released a bit too early, but what we have now already is pretty amazing. For those of you around the FSX/P3D days, we had basically NOTHING from the developers for a very long time, then FSX was cancelled and the world/simulator we had was static. If there was a bug, it was a bug and the community tried add fix/adapt to it. Right now we have the core sim developers at ASOBO engaging with the community, 3rd party developers, actively fixing and updating, I’d give them credit where due.
  19. Went back to SU2. 77W FMC blanking out and 350 nothing seems to work eg clicking on external power doesn’t switch anything on, green avail light remains.
  20. Indeed will wait for the Fenix BFU and the Fenix Neos!
  21. Really!??? As in you can TO config before cabin ready?? It didn’t work on my flight
  22. Exactly right 😉. Good long flight to test functions and the said updates… Regarding performance - my specs are in the signature, I don’t have an issue with it. Pretty smooth with 2x frame gen on the 4090
  23. Just my 2 cents - overall I am happy with the product, how it flies, and how most things behave. I have finished a 10+ hour flight from LFBO to VHHH without major issues or crashes. Also I am one of the lucky ones where I haven't really had systems frozen or WASM crashes for some time now. However there are minor things where if you are well versed with Airbus aircrafts, and know of finer details then there are bits where it does kill the immersion, especially since this is now the 11th update since release. The other issue I find with these updates, while great at introducing new functions or features, is that more often than not, there were functioning systems in the previous versions of the plane are now broken. For example the TO Config Test should not require cabin ready to be done, was fine up to 1.0.8 I believe, has been broken since 1.0.9/10 and still remains the same. Furthermore on this update things like LDG INHIBIT message do not clear once plane is on the ground, took for the plane to be at the gate with engines off for it to go away. I will still fly it, but it feels like there are sand in the eye - not enough to kill, but definitely enough to annoy. Hope it will improve as the team is working hard.
  24. Haven't had an issue since release to be honest. I've flown on VATSIM several times, never had a WASM crash. The only thing I don't have/use is GSX.
