This is why I was careful to contrast A2A's Piper Comanche with JF's Piper Arrows. Different aircraft, yes, but not SO different...?

May 13May 13 There's also lack of information at the official site regarding some variables used in the new engines modeling, and that might explain why some aircraft exhibit almost no "prop effects" while others do. This, IMO, doesn't excuse the fact that I believe that in *any* flight simulation platform, the default aircraft of eachn type even of not super detailed should at least make the flag characteristics of the sim shine, contrarily to what happens with most default aircraft in MSFS and X-Plane... Some of the parameters that were used in the past to fine tune prop and slipstream effects are now transposed into "engines.cfg". Just as Bert above, I have downloaded some GA from flightsim.to that show acceptable prop effects. Control Settings are mess and very unintuive They’re a bit complicated but actually very powerful once the method “clicks” for you. Each peripheral, including keyboard, has a “pyramid” of settings that cascade from the default one button for all aircraft ( such as views), down to two more specific levels, each allowing finer control without affecting your other addons. I essentially leave the Top/Default level alone. Then I’ve created new profiles for each major class of aircraft on the second (eg Twin Engine Jet or Single Engine Prop). These are settings that broadly apply to all aircraft in that class (eg, mixture & prop). Then the third level profile is reserved for setting that are particular to that exact addon and would conflict with the second level Class above it. For e.g., nosewheel steering, or inverse brakes. TBH, I don’t find the need to use this addon specific profile very often at all. it reads confusing, but there are a handful of YouTube videos that demonstrate it well. In the end, it’s extremely powerful and convenient once you get the hang of it. Id never go back to the previous method🤙

May 13May 13 I don’t think there’s a single yes or no answer here. For me the bigger issue is consistency. In some higher fidelity GA aircraft, especially the A2A Comanche and the Black Square Bonanza, the left turning tendencies feel believable enough and you work the rudder without really thinking about it. In quite a few default aircraft though, the behavior still feels too muted or just uneven from one model to the next, so the sim ends up giving mixed messages.
