Just another heads-up: A neat little tool I came across that some might find useful!

I wanted to use this for the duplicate scenery feature.

But when I launch it, and press the duplicate scenery button, I get the following error. My Content.xml is not found.

Yet there are no settings or apparent was to enter it manually? 😐

As can be seen on the screenie, it has found my useropt.cfg and community folders.

Clicking on the content.xml button doesn't allow you to set it - it just brings the same "content.xml not found" error message up.

@guenseli - any clue how I set my content.xml in the tool?

IMPORTANT!!! I just created the toolbox out of interest with AI Gemeni Pro.
That means on the other hand, that I have no clue and therefore can add, repair or change hardly. I simply hope, there are no bugs ;)

That to me is an immediate RED FLAG even saying he has no clue is one thing but using AI to to the work which could result in major complications of your system, If I were you I'd stay well clear of anything like this.

Instantly found mine with no issue...... Are you using a custom location?

So true. The amount of Vibe/AI coded stuff people push out these days is crazy. Use at your own risk.

Go ot the installaton folder of MSFS2024_Toolbox, there is a file settings.json. Open it with an editor and you'll see a path section where you can set your path to your content.xml ("C:\\Users\\username\\AppData\\Local\\Packages\\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\\LocalCache\\your xbox name\\Content.xml").

If you use Addon linker, it has the duplicate scenery finder built in.

Thanks, but I don't use Addon Linker. I did back in MSFS2020, but I've found that with 2024, there is simply no impact in having everything in the Community folder. I don't get long load times or any other issues. That way everything is available to me in the sim without the need to deactivate/activate profiles for certain aircraft / airports / utilities.

I was about to re-download and try this, but Guenseli has stopped downloads of it now.

I understand why. @guensel provides so much to the Community with his AAO Streamdeck profiles. I've had hundreds of hours of enjoyment from his profiles. He probably created this as more of a learning process with the AI. But because he can't address any issues with it, it's perhaps not worthwhile him maintaining this.

I'm still looking for a reliable duplicate scenery mod. I've tried 3 or 4 but they either report addons that aren't even related to eachother (over-sensitivity) or they don't find the duplicates (under-sensitivity).

If anyone is using a duplicate scenery tool (other than Addon Linker) that they find reliable, I'd love a recommendation.

I removed that tool from flightsim.to

I have no desire for panic to break out here simply because I programmed this tool using AI.

The description clearly states that everyone uses it at their own risk—and I myself have been using it for months without any issues.

I am merely sharing my work in the hope that others will find it useful. However, I have no need for negative reviews or warnings directed at my work.

And now I feel sorry for having showcased the work, and then almost immediately feeling forebodings, about what was probably going to happen. I apologize.

No need to feel sorry. Thanks that you tried to advertise it.

But as I say in the description I'm not able to make any bug fixes. And before anyones system will explode using my tool, I take it better offline.

Any program can actually be harmful to a users PC whether it's created by AI or not, but whether it runs perfectly fine on your system is one thing when everyone's system is different. That's where the risk - and yes users decision - comes into play, but seriously anyone downloading anything created by someone using AI without knowing what it's really doing, well that's just something to steer clear of.

I appreciate your good intentions, it's not just you BTW, I'm seeing a lot of these apps and programs created from AI by people will little or zero coding knowledge and that's what we need to avoid.

5000 downloads and nearly all computers exploded.
