There’s a A350 ‘V2’ On Its Way

Another snippet that caught our attention is how iniBuilds will bring all-new functionality and features from the A380 to the A350. It is currently being dubbed as a ‘v2’ update, and will focus on stability, performance, and new features developed for the double-decker plane.

Ubaid did not give a timeframe during our interview, but we suspect it will be after the A380 has been officially released.

Hopefully the V2 will arrive at the same time as a FS2Crew for the A350 will be available.

Hopefully they will allow for interacting with pop-out screens via mouse and touch. This works on the FBW A380, but not the Ini A350, and is very annoying for us who fly with extra monitors and pop out displays.

Ini need to keep fixing the existing defects in the A350 before they provide any major new functionality IMHO.

I couldn’t agree more! It’s desperately needed. I use a tool from Flightsim.to (JP Jump Ahead) nowadays. It has controls to easily set simrate to 8x and then provides a “sync to simbrief” function to correct the fuel burn via button click. It’s clunky, but it’s the best we got and it means I can fly the 350 with 8x. Ironically, it flies absolutely perfectly at 8x. I really don’t get why ini won’t implement this natively.

If they do pop outs like they have done with the A340, it will not be on my purchase list. I love the individual pop outs on their A350 v1.

I agree with that, absolutely. At least they pop out individually on the A350, but the lack of mouse and touch support is a big limitation.

What major defects are left?

And for all we know V2 will fix those issues.

R U sure??? Did you see a committent from Ini that they will endeavour to fix those issues as part of V2 release?

Giving due credit though, they keep releasing continual updates so at some stage the major bugs will be fixed but will it be before V2 release, I doubt.

Just as an example, I just ran into an issue last weekend where the Instant Refuel option doesn't not work in the EFB if you try and override the initial Fuel load Simbrief provides. There are options in the EFB display to set the new value but there's no functionality behind those refueling options/buttons when that specific sequence is executed.

Another - the hot brakes issue on landing. Several complaints about this in the Inibuilds forum.Seems ultra sensitive in this regard.

I am sure there a lot more beside this, but those are my most recent experiences having just recently "converted" from the A330.

V2 is just a big update, just like all those smaller ones you mentioned just with more.

Why wouldn't they fix bugs in it?
