For the record, the AMD equivalent of the RTX 3060Ti is apparently the RX 6700XT. That is A$455 at CEX Australia, and it has 12GB VRAM.

I've given up in all honesty, I don't think my PC is that bad (Ryzen 9 5950x 16-core 3.4ghz, 3080ti 12gb, 64gb RAM), and I can run FS2020 mostly at high/ultra settings, but I can only run FS24 at medium/low settings and even then I still get crippling single digits eventually, sometimes with the out of memory error, it just feels like there is something fundamentally broken about it on my hardware, it does not feel like a sim that is capable of handling poor performance gracefully, it just becomes unusable then maybe if I'm lucky snaps back to 20-30fps without any reasoning - was it designed specifically for the streamer class and those who can run the latest hardware with frame generation perhaps?

I'd be tempted to upgrade the PC as I've done historically at this age, but FS2020 and XP12 run so good I don't see enough reason to put down over £5000 for the latest hardware considering the meager improvements fs24 offers over 20, and all other games run amazing

Then there must be something wrong with your setup. My PC is less powerful than yours and I run 2024 at medium/high setting. Frames limited to 45 and then use 2 x FG (DLSS) giving a steady 90 fps (on a 27 inch 2K screen)

hmmm well my set up is way less than yours and have no issues running dcs msfs2024 and 2020
