Sim Update 6 (v1.8.14.0) now available

Bummer, I guess this grumpy old man will have to toss in the towel with Asobo, still no fix for culling of objects (aircraft wheels, wings, etc.).

Impressive list, but absolutely nothing on my important to fix list. I guess it’s time for me to give up hope and move on to other hobbies.

Selling a bunch WinCtrl, Thrustmaster, Rowsfire hardware if anyone is interested (cheap, PM me).

  • I've been at this since the dawn of 2020 and now 2024 and never had to fix anything after an update. What's beyond stunning to me is just how much stuff is addressed in these updates compared to any

Based on the 50 pages of notes, it would be foolish to call SU6 a nothig update. Looking forward to it and especially the bush trips. dd

FFS why do I have to update the sim as soon as they release an update instead of staying on the old version? Knowing this will break a whole bunch of stuff that will take a few days to fix. I miss P

Has anyone noticed that EFB in the upgraded version deleted my simbrief app. Can anyone let me know what to do to get it back into the EFB Apps. My Navigraph maps was there just needed to resync it.

I thought the same thing. Then after asking questions like you and watching a video or three I realized that for me the SB App was there along, just on Page 2 of the EFB. Click the right arrow on bottom of page and I suspect you will find your SB App. YMMV. TANSTAAFL. Blue skies,

OR try one of the different simulators - perhaps the one with the X prefix.

The two major sims I run (plus the two others) let me scratch the itch to sim when one of them bums me out for some reason hard stutters on landing, terrain looks silly, thrust reversers don’t engage, whatever.

I participated in the beta and overall it performed pretty well for me (and does now on release), but I see they never fixed the horrible terrain issie around the S43 airport I reported and others confirmed.

I see my post had “votes”, does one have to campaign and get one’s virtual flight buddies (aka all of you) to vote for particular issues to get them fixed? (Not necessarily this one, just the overall beta issue process?)
