I used this mod in 2020, but I have to be honest, stopped doing so, as I found the mismatching of textures a bit 'offputting' also a lot of areas with cloud covering the ground. I've used it once for 2024, but again, I didn't find it that great. Perhaps I was in the wrong area, I don't know. My main gripe with default is the low res terrain and I didn't find the mod helped much. I'd be interested in hearing from others who may have had more success. Also, whether the pro version is a worthy upgrade. Cheers.

I used it as well in FS2020 for a short period. Then I ditched it as I didn't like the mismatched textures.

Same views as all of you above. I used it a bit in 2020 but haven't really seen the need for it in 2024. It's one of those things that might be nice in certain areas but only for occasional use as far as I'm concerned.

I'll join in the chorus here as well. I liked it for a while (and paid up), but found the constant unloading/reloading textures (even though they were supposed to be cached) to be very irritating. Also - there are areas in [my local area of] NZ that have very marked (and ugly) transitions due to mismatched satellite imagery. The Enhancer actually seemed to make it worse. The problem still exists in MSFS 2024/SU6, but overall default scenery rendition has improved a lot, so I've learned to live with it.

Another reason to move on to MSFS 2024.

For me , it is " one of those " must have apps and mods.

Used it in MSFS2020 and worked great, and maybe not needing it in 2024. But seeing some of the ground textures in 2024 , which seem too dark and washed out , i tried it and was very pleased with the results. Added some contrast in the Pro version color settings and noticed that textures now pop more. And with the recent texture enhancement, i have similar results to what i had over a year ago when we could still use 512*512 textures . It does have a performance impact ,so i set the texture enhancement when i am away from large PG areas and cities and over 10k feet ( the mod can do that automatically).

Plus if you are flying in areas of Canada or Alaska, there is no default BING map coverage in many areas. Therefore , i use MAPBOX which now allows me to fly in those areas.

Flew a short flight yesterday and looked better than 2020 textures with smooth flight .

Thanks for the observations. I have got quite frustrated at the 'dumbed down' terrain resolution and find it the most irritating thing about 2024, which I moved across to in May. I think I will try the map enhancement mod once again, this time with the pro version, see how it goes.
