i'm going to do something, that we haven't done in the past. make available a release that is still in beta. rest assured, this thing has been tested, a lot. but with what 3.1 does, interact with ground ai, and ai on final, there needs to be a more diverse group of testers than my group. so if you want to see what we have been working on the last 6 months, download it, and give it a trywww.jdtllc.com/v3/rcv31.zipyou will also need to make sure you have the latest set of wav fileshttp://avsim.com/flightdeck/rcv3/RCWavUpdateFULL.zipthis zip file assumes you have controllers 11 and 12. if you don't, then you MUST downloadhttp://avsim.com/flightdeck/rcv3/11.zip and http://avsim.com/flightdeck/rcv3/12.ziphere is what 3.1 will bring you.when you are on ground frequency, taxiing along to the chosen runway, everything will behave as normal. when you are behind the airplane taking off, then contact tower, tower will not clear you to take the runway. he will wait until the runway is clear.tower will not clear you to take the runway, if there is a plane landing on your runway. you will be told to wait. you may wait a long time, if there is a string of planes landing.on arrival, if there is a plane on your runway, or a plane taxiing onto your runway, you will be given a go around.there is also a new pair of values on the controller's page. this is an MSA altitude for each airport. this is the highest elevation within 20 miles of the airport, in all directions. you will never be cleared below this altitude while approach is vectoring you.you can change this value if you want. it will not be a permanent change, but your change will be in affect while you fly that rc session.that's about it :-)unzip the rcv31.zip file into your existing rcv3 directory, replacing files as necessary. you should be able to fly rcv3.exe or rcv31.exe. you will need your registration key for 3.0/3.01 to re-register 3.1if you have lost your key (shame on you), or need a new one, send your product id to [email protected], and rick will send you a new one. don't send it to me, i'm going to kitty hawk :-)unzip the wav file into the winwood directory with use directory information optionpost your questions/comments, here. if something doesn't behave quite as you expect it to, then post everything you can about the situation, where ai planes were, what they were doing, what airport, what runway, etc.thanksjd

Hello i have one bug to report if this can help.I'm performing a flight from EGPD Aberdeen Scotland to LFKJ Ajaccio France (Corsica Isle) at FL270, then FL290. Since i have contacted the controller of that altitude in EGPX FIR Scotland Control on 130.5 COM1, he never said anything, just i had to acknoledge the things i asked him (because i unchecked pilot autoreply in RC3 options). For example i asked him a higher flight level from FL270 to FL290, i heared the pilot asking, immediately appeared the option 7 to acknoledge without any sounds. So i acknoledged and i climbed to FL290... but i keep going on hearing at real chatter sound files. And the whole RC3 did work well from clearance delivery to departure and even the lower altitude controllers.Once arriving in the next FIR, London control, on 134.4 COM1, both works now the controller and the chatter sound files.:) of course i've installed the files to the main directory of RC3, and the sounds files extracted in winwood respecting the preset subdirectories. I didn't change anything else, radar contact got just installed since yesterday because i changed my main hardware CPU + Motherboard + DDR. If you need further details don't hesitate to ask, bye.

If you didn't install the optional controllers 11 and 12, and optional pilot 90, then you will only have a few files in those directories. You can either DL and install the optional sets, or delete the directories without the full 1134 files (controllers 2-12) and 1028 files (pilots 98-89).The wav updates include the optional directories. So when you unzip them they create the directories with only those few updated files, not the full set.This should solve the problem.

Luigi,Don't worry about that one. You can use it as is. Chatter pilots don't use GA, Cargo, or Ramp calls.

try it without the command line switch. i forgot that i improved the speech routine, so whenever wavs are played, they are played in realtime priority, the app runs in normal priority the rest of the time.jd

I had a 'right 10 degrees for traffic' in my first flight with the beta. I'm pretty sure it didn't say 'turn right....' though - is this a missing wave?It did surprise me though - I'd only ever had the 'fly heading....' type of traffic call before.Ian

did you have ai traffic? were you held short appropriately? were you cleared on to the runway at the right time? did you get a go around?jd
