Not trying to wade in on this at all, but I see people comparing what they see in the sim at night with photo's taken at night and that is not a good way to guess how things should look. Comparing night photos to what you see with your eye at night is not a good comparison. I can shoot two photo's at night a few seconds apart and they can look completely different depending on the exposure/ISO and so on.

I have not used FB airports on a laptop but I can confirm they are among the best performance airports in my vast collection. Consideting the size and details of them this was an amazing feat by the developer Mir.

I recall taking off from KJFK in March 2012 at night. It is right on the water and out by the runways 04 L/R it is pitch black. Compared to the contrast of the rest of the big city the airport area is very dark. You guys ever see the movie Bullit? And the scene at KSFO where they are running around on the runways in a gunfight at night?
