  1. Sorry for the delay, setting up a new rig In Nvidia Inspector, Antialiasing Setting = 8s. Try 8 Just noticed in your CFG the following; // //TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD=1024 Should be; IMAGE_SMOOTHING=1 TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD=1024
  2. What is the top resolution of your monitor/tv. FS should be the same. NI profile, try just 8 instead of 8S. Can you post your cfg so we can take a look.
  3. Hi there, I'm assuming that you have FS9.1 and not just FS9. Ok, on that assumption, find and download a program called CFF Explorer (http://www.ntcore.com/exsuite.php) Follow instructions to install it. Once installed, open your FS9 folder and find the FS9.exe and right click it. http://s1058.photobucket.com/user/RichDutt/media/CFF3_zpsj4d164tc.jpg.html?sort=3&o=2 When CFF opens, click File Header, then click 'click here. http://s1058.photobucket.com/user/RichDutt/media/CFF1_zpschkdbbb0.jpg.html?sort=3&o=1 When you have done that, ONLY tick where I have shown. http://s1058.photobucket.com/user/RichDutt/media/CCF2_zpsw932h0lc.jpg.html?sort=3&o=0 Then save it. What you have just done basically, is tell the computer that FS9 can use more memory than it thinks. Not sure, read the site I gave you. My FS9 runs like yours without it, and that's on Win 7, i7 12 gig ram, GFX 640 2 gig ram. Good Luck Rich
  4. Read about this in the Hereford Times and thought someone might be interested. Link below. Hereford Times http://www.herefordtimes.com/news/14289195.Rare_vintage_fighter_jet_to_go_under_the_hammer_in_Leominster/ Auction House http://classiccars.brightwells.com/viewdetails.php?id=6387
  5. Ok, dump the Saitek drivers and replace with drivers called SPAD. Go to youtube (there are others) and watch some on board videos of people flying, and in the real world, you will see that you have to turn the yoke to level out from a turn. As far as the display is concerned, you have to press the function button first to get the stop watch to display, then the stop start button will work.
  6. I'm thinking along the same lines as Jerry, but it a good option. Cheers bud
  7. Is that because it's Win 10?
  8. Hi Mark, Before I make the suggestion, I must tell you that I do not have Win10 yet, still with Win7, but you could try the following.... 1. Start the NI GUI and delete the MS MICROSOFT FLIGHT SIMULATOR X profile. 2. Make a new profile and call it MS MICROSOFT FLIGHT SIMULATOR X, remembering to tell it to run with the FSX.EXE. If it works, let me know and I'll tell you how I knew this. If it does not work, then I am at a loss. Rich Or there is Trevor's way
  9. You can use the mixture lever for the flaps too.
  10. Maybe you should take a look at SIMstarter. With that you can tweek the sim and start any program, using any delay, you want. And its free (payware). It's also supported at Avsim, how good is that? Happy Days :Applause: :Applause: :Applause:
  11. Mathew, try this. Find the MS Flight Simulator X profile in NI, then delete it. I read a couple of years ago that for some reason (I forget now) NI keeps the default profile as is, no matter what. Create a new profile and it should be ok to setup as you wish. Then back it up. Everytime NI is updated, the profile is returned to the default, I simple delete and replace, no problem. Hope that helps. Rich
  12. Or as I said, delete MS Flightsimulator X profile and make a new one. You'd have had it sorted by now.
  13. Rick, try this. Find the FSX profile in NI, then delete it. I read a couple of years ago that for some reason (I forget now) NI keeps the profile as is, no matter what. Create a new profile and it should be ok to setup as you wish. Then back it up. Everytime NI is updated, the profile is returned to the default, I simple delete and replace, no problem. 14. Only one thing to say really.............WOW.
  15. Sorry to read your news. You will be in our prayers. Good luck.
  16. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hE9LaRPoqXc That might help
  17. In our quest to find that sweet spot for our beloved hobbie, we have to give (loads) and take (less) with the results to get FSX looking and running as best as our machines will handle. We have all tweeked at some point. We have all upgraded at some point and how we are not all bold (no insult meant) by pulling our hair out, is beyond me. Anyway, I found a little trick I'd like to share with you, and I'm guess it's not for most but, if like me you run your computer using a TV and not a dedicated monitor, if you go to the settings on the TV, and set the sharpness to 0, then go to NI and drop what ever you use to reduce jaggies by 1 level, in my case thats SGSS from 8 to 4, it makes my sim look the same but it runs smoother. I cannot tell you about the FPS as I am not really interested about them, its smoothness for me. It works for my setup but I'm not guarenting it will work for you, but it is worth a try. I would also guess it works for FSX-SE and Prepar3D, but I don't have them so I could not guarentee that either. If it does, I'm sure some kind fellow would let us know. Rich
  18. Now that's just show off . I'm known for not being an Airbus lover at all but............. ain't she a beauty. Rich
  19. Yeh, I can imagine it now....Wife's gone shopping, kids at a friends house, you got the whole afternoon to fill with FSX. You've set up all your yokes and rudder peddles, click on the icon to fire up the sim and... "Steam needs to update, please be patent"... afternoon wasted . I suggest, you get hold of the original FSX and Accel pack on disc, tell them how much you love them........ don't let the wife hear that bit  ..... install them, knowing that ANY addon will work properly, them lock them away in a safe place. Once the sim is as you like it, back up your cfg's and other important files, lock them up safe too and your set. If your comp fails or needs to be replaced, then bingo, you have all that you need. And thats why I no long play CoD.
  20. I love Simstarter. It sorted my sim out. :Applause:
  21. Rob, I use to use AM=14 but as I have an 8 core i7 now and I use SIMstarter that allows you to change all sorts of settings hence 254. Rich
  22. Ok [DISPLAY.Device.NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti .0] Mode=1920x1200x16 try x32 TriLinear=1 AntiAlias=1 Turn off Add [JOBSCHEDULER] AffinityMask=254 [bUFFERPOOLS] UsePools=1 PoolSize=500000000 RejectThreshold=126976 Rich
  23. Oh I get the question. When you open/run NI, it displays the Global_Driver_Profile by default. If you want to display the FSX Profile, you have to use the drop down and select it from the list. However, this does not mean that FSX is not using the profile that you have set, providing that you have told NI to work when FSX is running. The only way to get NI to display FSX when you run it is to remove all other profiles, which I would not do under any circumstances.
  24. Ronny, its a Curtis C-46 Commando.
