  1. I agree that PMDG are good in terms of robust systems code but in the visuals department I think Captain Sim is still the best.
  2. Definitely FSX (for me). It still has potential taking into account all third party devs are still making addons for it,
  3. Nice hull. But can't see anythig "WOOOOW".Add some more (actually a lot) of work and this will look almost as good as Captain Sims 777 :)
  4. "within a month or two of BETA testing" sounds good but doubtful. From what I see on the screenshots there are good SIX months before the beta. There was an year or 2 between this kind of previews and an actual release of the NGX. Remember? Do your math.I understand they will drag-n-drop the NGX displays and some code, but where's the cockpit itself (the hull)? Where is an exterior? A cabin? A lot of questions. 4. PMDG DHC-8 5. PMDG Douglas DC-6B 6. PMDG Boeing 737NG BBJ and 700ER -------------- Any news on these? They used to be 1.2.3.
  5. Nice. How do you know that Captain Sims 777 "will be a waste of money"?
  6. The truth is FSX cant model ANYTHING very realistic way. It's just a PC game. And CS radar works like a charm. As you don't have it you can watch the video http://www.captainsim.com/products/r001/
  7. CS has lost nothing. That was MILVIZ who initiated that talk. CS just responded politely.
  8. +100. Captain Sim models are the best. The 737 is a masterpiece. They say CS systems are less impressive? Can't agree, CS systems are OK. Moreover CS is the only developer that has a functional WX radar. Even PMDG don't have it for some lame excuse. As for MILVIZ 737 it just does not look alive. VC proportions and shapes are totaly off. All VC windows just awful: shape, angles, position, frames all wrong. Makes me wonder if the designer ever seen the 732 cockpit pictures? Check airliners.net. Textures are cartoonish, not even close to CS photorealistic ones. Exterior is very questionable as well. Bare metal is a joke.To sumup it's a weak offer comparing to CS 737.As for the recent Justlfight 737 I'll be short: FS2002 era freeware quality junk.
  9. Absolutely. I've got the 737.... It's a piece of art! I tend to forgive some tech issues when I got the model like this:
  10. Same here! Now this IS a 737-200! Great model, thanks CS. Well, the 'experimental' is better than nothing. And what makes you think MilViz will release just a perfect 737? Simply because you hate CS?
  11. Gosh, the VC looks like 10 year old freeware.Just compare it to CS 737 vc screenshots: http://www.captainsim.com/products/x737/200/vc.html
  12. Nothing is wrong with the "base pack" concept. It's just a reguar selfsufficient pack (exterior+vc+systems+sound) that supports further exterior expansions. You do not have to buy the expansions is you do not need them.
  13. Captain Sim's 707 and 727 are well known for their accuracy so I'm sure the same will be with their 737. And when I look at BB's one - I'm really sceptic about that.E.g. BlackBox say: "Highly detailed 737-200 ADV model with the distinctive JT-8D engines". Sounds good, but it's definetely not the 737-200ADV cockpit on the screenshots. It's just the original -200.I'll be definitely waiting for Captain Sim's one, VC preview looks stunning, list of implemented systems is long, price is fair: http://www.captainsi.../products/x737/
  14. Sorry to steal BBS thunder but the model looks... cheap and boxy comparing to CS737.BBS VC screenshots is some kind of a joke from good old FS2000 times. Are they seriously going to SELL this in 2012?
  15. Probably I have missed something but could anybody please give me the link where MS reps say there will be no SDK and that third party devs will not be engaged in development of some addons in future? I'd like to see official statement.
  16. Great post, really deserves to be pinned, IMHO.
