  1. So I have KPSP and ORBX Global on V2. To get V3 I need to download it from ORBX, transfer my licenses, then reinstall it over the top of my existing installation? What is this one download per day thing? So if I reformat my PC and need to obtain Global and KPSP minutes after one another, am I not allowed to do so? I haven't made the switch yet so forgive me for the questions. I tried to login to ORBX but I forgot my password and have to wait 15 minutes to reset my account...
  2. Cmon at least tell us the name of the group!

  4. Avsim posting policy guidelines indicate photobucket as the preferred method. I know, my pics aren't showing up either... Oh well.
  5. Is that the chevron bar on the glare wings of the Capt and FO? How do those work exactly?
  6. I have it screwed into a piece of wood which the rudders, yoke, and my chair sit on. I have it wrapped in black sub-woofer carpet, but that is a rectangular simple piece of plywood. Yes it is a rather high cost controller, but it will last for years. I saved for over a year to get this little by little. Also to me, flight controls are as important if not more so than the computers we build to enjoy the sim. Never fly a Level D motion sim, or you'll end up like me in doing something like this hahaha :-)
  7. As promised here is my unboxing and quick review on the Agronn Boeing 737 Column USB Yoke. First quick couple of flights have been amazing! Love the feel, the full 180 degree roll of the control wheel makes banking so much easier. There is no springs in this yoke, it feels almost hydraulically which is what I wanted for a very very long time. The Pitch fore and aft get heavier the further you go. Doing a flight controls check is pure bliss now watching the indexes move so smoothly on the EICAS. The Hall effect sensors do great and calibration was virtually not needed as everything is accurate. The buttons on the yoke really take it to the next level. The Mic trigger on the back is two position just like the real yoke. R/T and I/T for radio and inter-phone. There is a very heavy tactile click that happens when you press the button either way. The AP Disconnect is my favorite button and the heaviest on the yoke. It take 4.6 pounds of press force and there is such a satisfying CLICK when you press it, I just keep on grinning. The dual rocker trim switches feel very nice, and they funtion like the real aircraft. You cannot press just one side, as the real world operation (One releases the trim brake, and one actuates the trim motor) this is reflected in the sim. The entire Yoke is metal, the column and screws are painted the real Boeing grey. The clipboard has the 3 steps for tilt, and the yellow checklist reminder slides up and down with a nice detent in each stop. The overall quality is amazing, I am extremely happy with this purchase. I would definitely recommend it and would make the purchase again. This totally changes the way I fly, the roll is buttery smooth and the full 90 degree left, 90 degree right, for a total of 180 travel really makes banking a whole new experience. The sheer weight in the pitch axis makes climbing/descending while turning in manual flight a breeze and is pure joy. I hand fly all the way to 10,000 feet or more. I simply want to hand fly the thing any chance I get. On to the pictures, I will try to post them in order of how I set it up. The last photo was a celebratory glass of Wine on a Vatsim flight, just a quick in awe flight from KSAN to KLAX flying over my old home and stomping grounds of KSNA. Let me know what you think and I would be happy to answer any questions! I think a set of their rudders are next. :-D
  8. Here is the current setup right now. I will be unboxing the New Yoke today after work. Will include after shots too. Forgive the dirtiness on the floor, I quickly snapped a few pics, will vacuum it up for next set of shots.
  9. Hey guys so for a very long time almost a year now, I have been working on obtaining a Yoke of this caliber. I am no stranger to higher quality flight controls, having PFC desktop and Column Yokes for a good while now. My hardware has served me well, and felt it was time to upgrade. I have been in contact with the manufacturer for over a year, as the cost was so immense for this yoke I needed to feel secure about my purchase. I have followed the company for those 12 plus months, asked many questions, which they were more than happy to answer. Ask for photos, what materials they used, videos of the Yoke in action, and they were more than willing to provide the information. So after I felt confident and knew that this would be a good transaction I finally went ahead with it. I submitted the payment on September 15th, and today October 20th it is arriving. Mind you this Yoke was made from scratch as I ordered it. It was not sitting in a box on the shelf waiting to be bought. I am eagerly awaiting the DHL Notification that it has arrived. Check out this link for what the Yoke looks like on the company's website. http://www.agronn.com/flight-controls-737 I currently have a PFC Saab Jetliner Column Yoke that has served me very very well and now am moving on to the big leagues. Below is a photo of the shipping crate just to give some perspective. I will take and post more photos once I get home. I will also show the PFC hardware so you can see where I am coming from. This is the shipping crate wow! More will follow today and tomorrow!
  10. Okay on your desktop, right click the sound icon in the taskbar. Select Playback Devices, make sure "Speakers" (Usually RealTek) is set as the "Default Device," if it is not make it the default. Then in XSquawkbox in your sound settings set your USB headset as both input and output device for audio. This last part, I am not familiar with X-Plane check the sound settings in that and make sure Speaker or Realtek is set there as well. After that you should be good to go.
  11. Is your headset USB? If it is not then you will not be able to do this.
  12. I hope you get your PC back online soon so you can tell us how you got it working...
  13. Hey guys, just curious what the best method to record in sim P3D with? I tried ShadowPlay but it doesn't portray as smooth as my sim actually is. I am getting easily 30fps plus at all times when I took this video but, the raw file or in YouTube it appears somewhat stuttery at times. Not sure why because in game it was butter. Is there something better to record with, or should I check a few settings on this?
  14. Oh I should mention all this is in P3D. I am not using FSX.
  15. But why is this happening in default straight ahead view with EzDok off and not running at all? The distortion doesn't change shape, fade, or adjust however I change the viewpoint.
  16. I have EzDok, I have been running the sim both with and without it. I have tried many views, zooms, and angles, nothing changes the shape or size of the display issue. https://s21.postimg.org/aka3t02av/IMG_2474.jpg I have EzDok, I have been running the sim both with and without it. I have tried many views, zooms, and angles, nothing changes the shape or size of the display issue.
  17. Yes that was the original issue. I fixed it by discovering what you said last night. The issue now is, the CDU screen and VSI indicator are half visible. I cant see the top half of the VSI or the entire lower left of the CDU screen. Imagine a slant going diagonally and everything on the other side of that slant on the gauge is black. I also see big caps red letters CAPT and FO on the CDUs.
  18. Why are certain portions of the main instrument panel and entire overhead, black and like missing textures? I don't think I did anything wrong? Any advice on how to cure the black panel.
  19. Wow... Sorry to hear all this Mike hope you get this sorted and if it is without their help, some sort of a refund.
  20. I think you misunderstood my question, I know how to install it. My question, if I do, will it wipe all my FSUIPC configured buttons and controls? I would like to avoid having to reassign everything if possible.
  21. Is there a way to install the latest stable version, that now appears to be an exe vs the orig dll file from yesterday AND NOT have to reassign everything? Should I keep my ini file safe or something? I would like to avoid having to reassign everything if possible.
  22. Is SODE available on all existing FSDT and Flightbeam airports? I know I have used it at KIAH, to use it at the older airports, KLAX, KLAS, etc do I need to re-install them to get the added SODE functionality.
