I have one of these, and no, the cat very much doesn't like it.
  2. They even got the tire drop right! (Just a kind hearted jab Matt). 😁
  3. Thank you for posting this. I have never seen visual comparisons of adjusting the sliders in the Live Graphics Settings. VERY helpful.
  4. Thank you for your reply Ray. The green text was the result of some leftover files from a deleted GSX install. Got that resolved. The other text was from ticking the Enable DLSS Indicator on the Installation Tweaks screen in NVCleanstall. Fixed that too.
  5. Recently upgraded the drivers for my RTX4090 to the latest. (576.02) When P3D has loaded, I see a green ribbon at the top left of the screen with text in it (disappears after a few seconds) I also see several lines of text in the lower left of the screen. (which do not go away) Have never seen this before. Does anyone know what is causing this and how to get rid of it?
  6. I think maybe someone should go back and take a closer look at the bubbling mud geysers of Uranus...
  7. Thank you for the help. I tried the first option and it didn't work . (perhaps I didn't do it right) Tried the second option and am pleased with the result. Thank you again. CG
  8. I have tried v6 and really like it except for one thing. I live and fly out of KIND and all of scenery in Central Indiana is really messed up. Eagle Creek reservoir is missing and there are GIANT lakes south of Indianapolis that don't exist. I have to use ORBX Vector ( with it's attendant frame rate penalty.) V5.4 is fine. I reported the issue to LM but there was no response. I was wondering if the appropriate offending scenery files in v6 could be replaced with their counterparts from v54. If so, how do I determine which files to replace?
  9. Currently running P3D v6 on a Ryzen 5800X3D. Soliciting opinions and thoughts on performance improvements moving to a 9800XD. I am currently using a 4090 video card ( it's really not breaking a sweat) and my cpu is maxed out.
  10. I have been experiencing a problem with v6 since day one. There is a terrain spike just east of downton Indianapolis,IN. I reported it to Lockhedd Martin But it is still there several patches/hotfixes later. I installed Freemesh 2.0 but no matter where I put the mesh in the scenery library, the problem persists. Adjusting the mesh slider makes no difference. What am I doing wrong?
  11. Personally, I'm still completely yanked at the lack of adequate cupholders for the rear seat position on the Baron 58.....................

  13. +1 :Nail Biting:
  14. One of the things I was wondering specificaly was on the subject of OOMs. I seem to remember Rob Ainscough talking about flying fast aircraft close to the ground being one of the most demanding senarios when it came to out of memory errors. Just wondering what impact 8 gigs of memory would have on that.
  15. It may be too early to speculate, but I was wondering what opinions might be had about the usefulness of the upcoming 8Gb models over the present 4Gb ones in Prepar3d. I'm guessing it may be down to single vs multi monitor use.
  16. Ok, aside from the fact that apparently someone hasn't done the dishes, it would appear that the picture isn't quite as "Black" as it could be.....

Seriously, your adaptive attitude made my day. Thank You! :clapping:
  18. Yes, but I used a migration tool. Worked flawlessly.
  19. After installing the ORX Grand Canyon Photoreal package I found some of the tree textures had turned to building textures. After scratching my head for a bit I remembered that when I first opened the sim after install, a message came up mentioning that there might be graphics anomalies on start up but that a restart should clear them up. So I restarted the sim and the trees were back to normal. Hope this helps.
  20. Wasn't sure exactly where to put this. My apologies if it has already made the rounds. http://www.ebay.com/...d=281017346689

  22. I live on the NW side of Indy and have eyeballed that scenery too. The first thought that popped into my head was: "I wonder if with all those lovely buildings, could one get it to play nice with UTX?"
